Keep your legs straight and apart the WHOLE TIME!!!! Thats the FINAL key to windmills. You'll be stuck there for months and months otherwise! But good job!
I had the same problem. The key is while your spinning, use your handglide support hand(in my case, the left hand) to push up while your still rotating. I don't know if you got it now but I would practice that part for a while.
idk if you already mastered them but whats happening is your starting too high at your stab and then fall as your on your back, you need to start low and get your height on your back, not the start

Have your legs spread apart like your doing the splits and use both hands and feet to push and kick.. Also one more this if you are on your lower back it's not going to help.

yeah, my collapse is good. going into a second mill is what i'm working on. And i can get my leg really high when doing a flare, which i heard is good, but i can't bring it around yet.
ok for ur second mill. when ur on ur upper back goin to ur right shoulder... stick ur left leg up like ur trying to put it to the sky.(doing so will give you height to rollover to the next one) then wat i say is try to just push over with ur hands instead of stabbing. its a whole lot easier n if u need me to giv an example vid i i will. ok if u get the pushing over with ur hands then while ur pushing over pike ur right leg up and swing left under like ur doint the collapse again n it should work
Well, like everybody said, you gotta open your legs, but you're just not going fast enough. I'd say try starting from standing. Loads easier to get speed. Also, everybody learns to restab. Idk why that is. If you wanna keep going you can't do that; it just stops you. Keep your left hand by your face.
actually, about a week after filming this, i spread my legs wider, spun faster and got my leg closer to the ground, but still not as good as i want (i still tap the ground) but yeah, thanks for the tip

i beg to differ at aznbboi1 over there..
i do my windmills with lowerback sometimes..
all you need is more momentum by swinging your legs more..
make sure your core is at one place so when you do get it your not all over the place..
