What a cool concept for a video. Even though I just turned 20 I enjoyed watching this for all the tips and what to expect. I used to lay out in the sun too with no protection but lately I don't find myself wanting to do that anymore... I'd rather be paler than be wrinkly down the road haha.

one thing, though...

i totally disagree on when to start using anti-aging products.

until you're in your late 30's, the absolute best thing to do is just wear sunscreen. this will actually prevent you from having to fight wrinkles and age spots as much.

I am 27, and started anti-aging skin care when I was 20 years old. I have found that it has really helped starting young, and my skin already looks younger/fresher than a lot of my friends my age. Another tip that I use is a lightweight daily vitamin based SPF anti-aging product that protects from the sun. I have used Mary Kay Timewise skin care for years, and it works AMAZING. By the way, your mother's skin looks so young for 63! Go mom! lol

Emily your videos are great but in this video you can really tell that your foundation stops at your jawline rather than continue down your neck. Your face and neck are very different colors, just thinking you may want to check that out.  It's happens to me all the time.

It also looks different because most of her videos aren't in direct sunlight like this, and (as far as I'm concerned) sunlight is the most brutally honest test of how well your foundation/concealer matches your skin. Low lighting or artificial lighting can easily trick your eyes into seeing a perfect match when it's not.

I think when you are in your 20's, the most important thing you can do is protect your skin from the sun. That, with a nice rich eye cream should be all the anti-aging benefit that you need. Once you hit thirty, you can start to be more concerned w/ the retinol or hydroxy creams and that will depend on your individual needs. :)

for the person who wants to look more mature.. also consider your hair and maybe not so much your makeup.. wearing a sloppy bun or ponytail all the time tends to remind people of a high school girl. try wearing your hair down, curl it a little, or a sophisticated up-do.. maybe even cut it.. it really depends on you: some people look younger w/ long hair and older w/ short hair (or opposite).. just ask someone (like your hair stylist).. :)

I have very light skin and I have tried a lot of things to cover up my under eye circles. The best thing that I have found so far is Origins liquid foundation from Dillards. I just double up under the eye area to conceal.

This was such a good video. i love your channel emily because its so wholesome in so many ways.

i think i have an idea for my skin care/anti-aging routine for my 20's. i'm gonna focuz on prevent/treating blemishes, lightening scars, and some light creams on areas i think will begin to age the soonest.

BTW your sister is gorgeous. i can relate with the whole staying out of the sun because thats what i'mm doing (and i'm so light too)

Time Balm from theBalm is supposed to be a creamy concealer and eye cream. It boasts that you can even put it on the eye area before bed. I think that's a little weird since it is a concealer. Anyway I've been using mine for 2 weeks and I like it so far. Good coverage. And if I need it a little more sheer I warm it up with my hair dryer. It comes in a little pot and you can get it at sephora. Thought since I'm 25 I should be a little more proactive instead of reactive with my complection.
