  • Damn! I could have never taken them out of their original eighties packaging! I always find it amazing when there are toys from the eighties that are still inside the original vacuum sealed packs! some dude bought them years ago and kept them sealed over 20 years! thats awesome! I'd have kept them as was.

  • Lionheart was the one I had. He was a good guy.

  • There was a comic from what I remember. I owned one of these when I was a kid and remember having the comic as well.

  • Their was a run of comics in the UK for a while. Didn't last very long though. Was actually quite scary (for me at 5 anyway). I just managed to acquire the first issue.

  • @lenskittylitter Yep, I remember the comic too. Might have them somewhere still.

  • The glow in the dark paint on the hands comes off pretty easily.

  • u r talking about visionaries

  • man i know u didnt put the supernatruals i had 2 of them a little ghost dude and a knight these bring back memerios

  • man i know u didnt put the supernatruals i had 2 of them a little ghost dude and a knight these bring back memerios

  • OMFG <3 I did the same thing with the arms, and pulling the holographic parts out and playing with them by themselves. You rock <3

  • I had all of em. I remember getting the "Tomb of Doom" playset for my birthday at Chuck E Cheeses.

  • why buy the packaged figures just to open them? Loose figures might've made more sense.

  • @firekind1980 i like to show the audiance the packaging

  • I've got the full set including the Temple of Doom, a couple Ghost-Mobiles and all the figures, still in original packaging. The holograms were cool, but you can't see them well unless looking at a certain angle in the light which would make them less fun to actually play with.

  • Me and my brother used to have some of these toys. Thanks for posting this stuff, man.

  • Ever make that stop-motion project?

  • I did include 2 of these supernatural figures in a very terribly made dbz stop motion teaser which you can view on my other channel "Legendofmetal777" it's going to be called "Some enemies never die" and two of these guys, i will be using as some of the former gaurdians of the earth.(not sure if your familier with dbz). I am still anxiouse to do that project as i made the teaser a LONGGGG time ago and my green screen skills have come a long way since then.

  • Kudos to the Papa Shongo music. :)

  • I got a bunch of ebay, in packages, in 2004. I loved these figures, and wanna find more one day. I always wanted that damned tomb. :D

  • ..did yours have the lil comic that came behind them in the package?..anyways i totaly remember these..i have two or three of them bitd..pretty cool! the 80's were radical!

  • there was a comic in the uk! i seem to remember the native american indian falling from an air craft and gettibng shot by a jet when he turns into an eagle

  • Visionaires were better then super naturals.

  • I have a few of the comics that went with these figures, sadly it was such a short lived series.

  • Cool review man your are always the best. Did you ever stop smoking?

  • Thanks. Not yet. I still need to buy the electronic cigg in order to slowly cut back and then quite. ($80.00)

  • there was a comic, i used to pick it up as a kid, dont have them now tho, bummer!

  • your lucky, i got mine today and the holograms were all loose and messed up. pretty sad!!

  • I had the first 2; the burgundy one and the lime green one. My brother had the orange one. I used to play with them the same way. They're awesome. I think I still have them in storage. But I don't have the weapons anymore.

  • ya me two mine looked liked a evil arcologist and it was blue ...scary toys

  • thanks for posting this. def took me back.....i had one of those dudes when i was 4-5 yrs old ( 'mr. lucky' haha ).

  • No problem Freddy =) hey so if your not dead..where have you been? lol I havnt seen you in a movie in awhile lol I hear there brainstorming on revivng the series but without Eunglund and that would just severly piss me off. although I can imagine he would be tired of all that makeup after sooooo many years. what are your thoughts?

  • In my eyes: Englund IS Freddy Krueger. As bad & cheesy as all those sequels got, I'd still prefer a hundred more instead of a 'reimagination' of a horror classic with recasting.

I dunno how you felt about Jason VS Freddy, but I thought old-man Krueger looked great. If anything, Englund being older just makes Fred look scarier & more haggard. From what I've read they didn't even offer him the role in this new one. How lame is that?

  • I think that you were thinking about Visionaries, in the instance that you haven't looked it up already or some one hasn't already told you.

  • Did this series have an indian, and a guy with a rubber brown snake mask, and a Thor guy with a helmet with wings on it? Or am I talkinb about something else? The figures I'm talking about had holograms too. I don't know if it was Visionaries or Super Naturals.

  • yeah there was an indian,,the others im not sure of.

  • Visionaries are the other toys you were talking about, which did have a cartoon.

  • I can't believe you used to detach the arms from the body and throw them like boomerangs.. you must have been such a naughty child

  • haha,,i didnt mean like across the room,i ment like as a weapon against the other action figures you know?--playing--

  • Hi. Just to let you know that there was a comic but it was only in the UK. It did not run for very long and was quickly canceled.

Hope this helps and a great video by the way.

  • oh yeah??? got any screen shots or links?? id like to see.

  • thats wierd wikipedia didnt mention anything.

  • I don't know of any screenshots but I will have a search and try and find something.

It was rather good if I remember but only ran for 9 issues. occasionally they turn up on ebay

  • well i'll be darned =),,thats awesome,,they seriusly need to add that info to wikipedia along with that screen shot.

  • More than happy to help matey.

    Keep posting those cool videos!

  • 5/5

I remember these things at KB

thought about getting them just so my He-man's can have a nice glow-in-the-dark weapons :)

  • lol,,cool man =) be prepared to open up your wallet though.

  • that is super messed up! yeah some gift,,jeez! and yeah Visionaries thanks for reminding me.

  • I remember first seeing the commercials for these in the fall of '86/ early '87 (I was about 9 or so). I remember that my mom wouldn't let me have them because they had the name "supernatural" in them(she didn't care about the figures themselves, she just didn't like the term...thought it was against the bible I guess). My buddie's little brother had them though, so we used to play w/them. I even bought 1 a few yrs back. Looking back now, they were the cheesier of the hologram toys. The ghosts

  • (continued) (for example)had arms coming out of the cloaks, but also have arms w/in the holograms themselves! It was a cool concept though. When I 1st saw visionaries action figures(in late 87)I didn't give them the time of day, cause I thought they were a ripoff of supernaturals. Once I saw the cartoon, I knew the "animal representations" served a whole other purpose. Of course, as great as visionaries were(& as un-p.c. as the toon was)that didn't last either. Oh well, hologram figures rocked!

  • I have a question you might have an answer for. When the card-backs are discolored and the bubble is yellow (like the cards shown in your video) does that discoloration reflects on the toy color??? I have not purchased any vintage toy with yellow colored plastic bubbles fearing that the toy indise might not be in NEW CONDITIONS.

  • Im no toy expert, but I imagine its possible.. if the owner had them next to florecent lights for many years,But out of all the vintage figures I have bought over the past year I have never encounterd such a problem. The onle problems ive had like with these very figures was that the nicotin did manage to get to the one figure becasue the bubble was cracked, therefor the figure was also stained, but cleaning it with clorox took it right off and it shines like 1986 agian =)

  • By the way, I won one of the auctions that ended yesterday of a vintage ghostbuster collection that was being sold on ebay. Man, prices got so high at the very last minute that it was just ridiculous. I had to put all my money on a single toy, instead of bidding on multiples. Anyway, I manage to win the STAY PUFT Marshmallow man for $113.49. That's $124 with shipping. I will send you a picture or post a mini video for you to see when I get it. Thanks for another great review.

  • wow!! so that must be the original 5-7 inch(I forgot how tall he was) Marshmellow man? Better be brand new M.O.C damn!. Why would you choose the old one over the much taller, more detailed Neca version?? and it would have been half the price.

  • It's the original version made by Kenner MINTONCARD. Card is in pretty good shape. I plan on keeping it inside its card. Hopefully I'll find another Marshmallow man in a bent or damaged card that sells cheaper and I can open it. In regards to the Neca version I only like the fact that it's bigger but the sculpture is squarelike. The Kenner version is more accurate.I plan on buying the Neca figure, but it is selling for lots of money. I dont think a figure from 2004can increase that much in value

  • are you on the U.S version of ebay?? becasue i just took a look on ebay and i saw like 10 listings of old kenner marshmallow men that wer allready open for less than 10 bucks and in decent shape.

  • Yes, U.S. version of ebay. The loose figures sell for pennies, but I wanted an unplayed version of the toy. By the way, the loose NECA figure is selling for above $60, and one in MINT CONDITIONS can go all the way up to $100. I wont pay that much for a toy that in 2004 cost only $40. I will wait for a decent price to buy the NECA version. I only paid this high for a kenner version because its like 24 years old and a rare find in M.O.C condition. Peter Venkman kenner figure sold for $70 M.O.C
