diving is considered falling gracefully now by the NHL because their ideal game is a 10-9 game where the entire game someone is always shorthanded so as to allow for more goals so the americans will watch......last night Iginla got pissed Belanger dove on his hit but he wasn't mad long because a period latter he forgot his morals and took a dive himself so he could score on the powerplay! (when honest players like Iggy start diving to even things up you know you got problems)

If hockey actually begins to turn into soccer with all these dives than that is just disgusting... but if it begins to, the refs should be allowed to make a judgement among video review of the hit to see if it was indeed a dive or not and penalize the player if that player did dive

Semin number #1 had his head down staring at the puck and ice and number 2 Leblanc held up when he saw Semin's head down you can clearly see that and it was a dive. He will not get suspended and if he does who cares hes an AHL player anyways for now.

Semin embellishes it but he does get hit in the head. LeBlanc makes a forward motion with his elbow and connects with Semins head making it the principle target, Semin makes no sudden moves before contact giving LeBlanc plenty of time to avoid hitting him. I say throw the book at him regardless of how you feel Semin should have 'taken' a hit.

The league is so focused on eliminating headshots and hits from behind, but maybe they should pay more attention to muffins like this as well.
