  • Was this changed? Wasn't the original "what else can Judge Colombo do?"

  • Epic Riff :D

  • I met John Sinclair today :)!!

  • epic.

  • My fathers business was located at 211 S. State Street in AA when I was a kid, and I recall this Lennon/Sinclair rally. I wanted to go so bad, but was only 12 years old, so of course, was not allowed to attend.

  • John Sinclair was indeed set free, thanks in part to John & Yoko's efforts, if memory serves.

Who is playing that amazing guitar?

  • The Blind Melon version of this song is great also.....

  • @hammer95618 Thanks--I'll check out that Blind Melon version.

  • The abuse of power against the subject of this song is not an isolated incident, but a chronic condition

  • LOL didn't John Sinclair go to jail for smoking weed?

  • @joebuckjajaja no for selling 2 joints to an under cover cop.. which he was sent to jail for 10 years for 2 joints.. after the song came out like a year or something later he was set free.

  • Who the hell's John Sinclair? What did he do?

  • @ratonmickey83 gave two joints to undercover cops was put 10 years in prison but john and yoko freed him they was a big concert for his freedom

  • @63milkshakes What Do you mean by "Joints"? What are Joints?

  • @ratonmickey83 i might have misspeled but pot

  • @63milkshakes Did he really give two joints to cops?

  • "got to, got to, got to . . . " - - i don't hear that technique on many recordings. was lennon inspired by the monkees "magnolia simms"? or mae questel's "broken record"?

  • Why the arguments?

I love Lennon (and the Beatles) and the Stones, as well as many other 60s (typical british invasion) bands. I don't see the point comparing the two then, when they produced massively different music, and were as good as each other.

If you feel one is better than the other, that is your opinion, so instead of comparing them here, use this space to compliment the song you are posting on.

  • really cant stand The Beatles? what a douche.. Thank goodness for the Fabs

  • The first time I listened to this song I thought it was the computer. XP

  • John Sinclair was the manager of the greatest rock band EVER. The MC5. Look them up. Even a douchebag like John Lennon had to bow before them.

  • @Hister333 GTFO

  • @Hister333 So great i haven't even heard of them lol.

  • @samusic160 So anybody that's never passed your frame of reference must not be worth the effort of passing your frame of reference. Very American attitude.

  • @Hister333 ha thats just it tho... there so great you had to tel everyone to LOOK THEM UP ha! be gone with you pest.

  • @chidow99 There's no reason you should have heard of them. Everyone knows the Beatles were the only band in the 1960s, and invented every innovation.

  • @Hister333 what bout the stones? they walked all over the beatles

  • @LukeGNR94 I was being sarcastic. Sorry. The Stones are the only band I'll back down on over the MC5.

  • @Hister333 a love mc5...the stones and john lennon....how can you even compare them....lennon a douchebag?? am sure he never "bowed down" before them

  • @LukeGNR94 Oh, the Stones walked all over the Beatles? Have you even heard both versions of I Wanna Be Your Man? The Stones version is absolute crap compared to the Beatles...and they had RINGO singing it!!!!

  • First heard this song in the film 'The US vs. John Lennon' and have been listening to it ever since! Especially love the guitar riff at the beginning. Go John!! :D

  • 1971, at the house that Cazzie built-Crisler Arena. Go John! Go Blue!

  • 1971, at the house that Cazzie built-Crisler Arena. Go John! Go Blue!

  • 1971, at the house that Cazzie built-Crisler Arena. Go John! Go Blue!

  • SET HIM FREE !!

  • Hey guys you should check out the band Blind Melon's cover of this song. Really a terrific band that payed attention to detail. I know there will be haters but some of you may like it. This is so bluesy for john lennon. He was always trying new things! Pushin that envelope.

  • I wood have loved to have been in new york at this videio BUT I"M HAPPY WITH BEING AT ANN ARBOR ON STAGE WITH MY FREIND JOHN YOKO WITH MY BROOM I MADE A BASS OUT OF STANDING NEXT TO YOKO RON J> KING

  • cia killed john lennon

  • @dadoX1000 Bullshit! sure, john lennon was a nice guy, but he wasn't nice enough to be assassinated.

  • @killaspongebob666 listen this song what he sing about cia... he was man who had big INFLUENCE ON THE MASS, he was antiglobalist, anticapitalist and against (american) exploatation wars, man who wrote on big billboard "War is over, if you want it" do you think your government like that? no my friend... also albert oldmans books is writed to preset lennon in negative light with reason, lennons ideas of peace are opposit of ideas of your hypocritical government...

  • crazy song

  • It seems crazy to me that albums like Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey were better received than this album.

Maybe I just am not a huge fan of corny John, but this is waaaaay better than those two.

  • ANYONE FROM DAVE P. BAND CALL ME I.M THE GUY NEXT TO YOKO PLAYING THE BROOM AS A BASS THAT NIGHT CALL 5173670154

  • UNDERRATED!

  • Sinclair started smoking dope in 1962, that was several years before John did. Notice the government is now committing all the crimes all over the world. Chasing musicians around the world for smoking refer is so Seventies.

  • love this song, it sounds like a reworked "raunchy" but still it rocks!

  • julian assange, set him free! make love, not fear! aka The Powers That Be Psycho Fascist Narcissist Nazi Zionist Corporate Capitalist Control Bitch World Bank Rapists, aka The System

    Free John....

  • Rip John lennon

  • John Sinclair was the chairman of the White Panther Party, not many people realize this today and think White people were against the Black Panther Party when in actuality both White and Black Panthers worked together to serve their own communities. FBI set up Siclair as they did Chairman Bobby Seale of the Panther Party and both spent 2 1/2 years in prison.

"remember or no one will remember you"

  • @pachacutti 10 for 2 -- 10 years was the original sentence. For two joints.

  • John Lennoon...thee best (Y)!!

  • I'm going to meet him next week!

  • The US vs John Lennon Documentary! Good job, Johnn! RIP

  • @UniverseExplorer11 Great guy!!!! Genius in his own works!!! We need someone like John today to stand up for the rights for all!!!! :-)

  • @JoyceLynne1 I AGREE ONE THOUSAND PERCENT! UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER JOHN LENNON....SO LET'S BE THANKFUL FOR THE ONE GOD HAD GIVEN US!

  • SET HIM FREE!!!! GO LENNON!!!! <3

  • It worked! Lennon helped to set him free!

  • @fowlerham I have to confess. I can't stand the Beatles. But John got the manager of the MC5 free. Give him credit for that...
