Hey, this is what you need to do: Keep with a metronome or the real recording. Play with it until you can establish a real nice groove. Also, make sure you hammer-on the musical notes while slapping the mute notes. What you are doing is slapping every note, which makes it sound a bit forced and sloppy. Remember that a bass players goal is to keep time, even if that means playing wrong notes at first. But keep it up.

Thanks it is indeed a sterling. For now, I didn't have any amp home because it's at my band place so I can't reccord. As soon as I get it, I could do some for you.
