Actually under a singlepayer system the government would just remove the for profit motive of the insurance companies who have no interest in your health. 400 billion would be saved by removing administrative costs and taxes wouldnt have to be raised and you could choose your doctor or hospital still (which would be private). Other countries can do it, why cant we? All first world countries have that system and they spend less, live longer than we do and are just as happy with their health care.

The government does take care of the poor- and has since the great society. (maybe earlier) The reason there are still poor is multi faceted- but the main reasons are 1. there are too many of them. It's a monumental task. 2. If you just give handouts you destroy the spirit.

Our system is ranked 37th despite having the world's highest cancer survival rates simply because ranking is not based upon effectiveness of treatment. Actually under a singlepayer system the government would just remove the for profit motive of the insurance companies who have no interest in your health. 400 billion would be saved by removing administrative costs and taxes wouldnt have to be raised and you could choose your doctor or hospital still (which would be private). Other countries can do it, why cant we? All first world countries have that system and they spend less, live longer than we do and are just as happy with their health care.

I can't even get child support. Our republican governor cut many programs for the disadvantaged several years ago. Me and my children were part of those cuts. I can barely make ends meet. Both parties spend taxpayer money without limits. Until people regain faith in limited government and free markets there is going to be a lot worse to come.

I hear dems just snuck a hate crimes bill into the defense appropriations bill, then changed amendment protecting free speech to favor government interests in using hate crimes law to attack free speech. Dems then made sure there was only one vote allowed for or against the defense appropriations bill which was bundled with the hate crimes bill.

A modern sense is the only thing that matters, and World War Ii is grouped into the modern era. The Nazis were not attacking classical liberalism; they were attacking FDR-style liberalism along with Soviet Union-style Bolshevism. Racism is based on prejudice, violence, discrimination, and oppression; none of these are left-wing. Jackson's antisemitic comments were right-wing.

They started with those groups because they knew how they operated, being leftists, and didn't want any competition from other socialists or revolutionaries who would try to topple the government. Also remember soviets invaded poland in the late 1920s to expand "the revolution" into europe, had agents everywhere but were defeated by the poles. Nazis also leaned heavily on industrialists to make them go along with their socialist style control of industry for nationalistic, militant purposes.

Don't forget that every industrialized country, with the exception of ours, has national health care for all their people. No wonder our system built on greed, has placed the US in the 37th place in health care while thousands die every year because they cannot afford the high cost of insurance. Our system is ranked 37th despite having the world's highest cancer survival rates simply because ranking is not based upon effectiveness of treatment. That's why most terribly sick people travel to the 37th best health care country for treatment. They don't care about the numbers. They just want to keep living.

Nazis placed low value on individual liberty relative to the success of the state and the "greater good" (as defined by them) These are all things that they share with the left wing.
Nationalism is hardly a "right wing" value. It's simply a tool used to manipulate the masses - like in N. Korea or USSR.

Actually Willy, fascists such as Mussolini were from the left as well. The Nazis (eventually) rounded up a lot of people left, right and otherwise. The Nazis disagreed with the Marxists and opposed them. The fact that some were farther left than Hitler doesn't place him on the right. To say that disagreeing with the Marxists makes you conservative means President Obama is a conservative.
