@brennwatte seriously its been in my head all day i feel the urge to show everyone i know! Question though if you could... at 0:18 with the 6 string is there any tabs for that lick? I really would like to learn it :)
dude.... did you have the fretboard extended and extra frets put on it? lol. The Vai acoustic only has 24 frets, which is an a lot for an acoustic but yours looks like 30 or 31 frets.. i tried counting them. lmao
Amazing guitar! What kind of scales are you using, I kinda lame and am stuck using the harmonic minor alot, which I love but it very predictable/flamenco-ish. Or is it more the timing and feel that you go by. Either way truly amazing and inspirational playing!!! I love it!
der song ist echt super! du hast unglaublich viel talent. I think I have listened to this song 6 or 7 times today. Just wanna get up and gypsy dance all over my office!!! amazing!
You indeed do play like Django Rheinhardt (1914-53). With some bent blues notes later in the piece.
Reinhardt, a Belgian Gipsy active mainly in France in the 1930s and 40s, more or less invented gipsy jazz ("jazz manouche" in French) and was the first human to have an inkling of what the electric guitar can do.
@garbidz Wait I dont get it what risks is he taking, its music is he gana die or something, you do know what gypsy jazz is right? look up django reindhert..
Pls. check up the spelling of his family name....Are you typing with your elbow or something?
Taking risks in an improvisation means that you start going on and cannot figure you way out of the passage in an elegant way. Playing on the edge, giving it your 110%.
@garbidz Omg you dont know what gypsy jazz is...... Its DJANGO ... And dood its jazz! way out of what passage, I have degrees in this area of science its not improve because its been done before he already know what keys and modes he can use its not difficult.. Nascar driving is a risk... Its very easy to manipulate the sound nothing is a bad note just flow. When I think Of playing on the edge I think of creating spontaneous music thats different this genre of playing is 80 years old..
@JD083008 soooo..... you're saying he's not improvising because he already knows what key the song is in? playing the guitar like this man does is not in any way comparable to nascar....
@worldindusa Im just being dumb but yea its cool improving is risking in a sense but theres really no bad notes, but yea basically its weird like you work with intervals and you can decide upon a note in which you play and kinda "climb" out and in the base note. Its kinda like thinking ahead of ahead know what I mean. Yea its not haha its just funny cause you sounded epic haha
@worldindusa its like aware improving like you know what You can use and if you know what you can do thats not improve but what makes it improve is how he does it and all the uses in which he can orders, forms, shapes, flavors of sound get me. But he did a good job real nice texture he could work on the django style peace gypsy jazz is a sub genre and has a certain essence.
@JD083008 do you even play an instrument? come on man, you have to have some musical knowledge of what you're playing to improvise.... you can't just play random notes and call it a song
@worldindusa Yes all of them, I have a phD in music and I teach at CSN. I have students that might not no sqwat about threory or anything and they play better then the students I have that sound Like you sorry. and you dont know what your talking about bye
@JD083008 I highly doubt that you are in fact a teacher, but as they say, "those who can't do, teach." this is epitomized by people like you (if you are in fact a teacher). Let's see a video of you "playing" the guitar like this guy. I almost forgot: for the record, CSN is a shit school.
@garbidz Well its not right calling any notes bad some people like dissonance some consonance sounds. when you learn about dynamics and structures and intervals you listen to it differently. No las Vegas, Nevada
you should move your hand away from the guitar and let it loose in front of the strings in order to give each note more weight. You're playing it as if it was an electric guitar.........
great playing! I'm thinking about getting one, is it true that these are generally much easier to play due to lower action for instance than regular acoustic guitars?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
great guitar skills but sounds bad, you are a little out of tune, but solos are played completely without a brain and it is very anoying to listen then ,i would sugesst you not to play one note 30 times in a row and to leave that blues licks or learn how to play it properly! if this is improvisation it is bad, if it is your composition then this is a tragedy!
@darac009 ...you certainly don't understand music at all. That's his own unique flamenco-like style, and it is well-played. At least he's inventing a style of his own, instead of just playing the usual pentatonic licks to sound "traditional", in other words just copying what you heard before.
@darac009 dude, shut up, this is great. and exept for 2:35 he doesnt play the same note 30 times in a row. if this is a composition its great and if its improvisation is grrrreat.
yea, thought the same thing. Never seen so big hands in my life before. They'd probably be even better for piano playing. That's some Rachmaninov sized hands for sure.
