If at the end of Ur course, Meg, U get to be in a good videogame company as one of the designers. For which type of game would U be more excited to help?. (Action, RPG, Rol, strategy, survival horror, adventure...). I supposed U would love to be part of all of them, but I mean which one would U prefer to do first. And why?. I have to ask 5 people for a research about modern media, and I choose videogames so i need opinion from someone who is studying it, if U do not mind. Really appreciated.

Totally agree with Downpour, I was originally getting some Alan Wake flashbacks. Not entirely bad but... still.

AMY looks completely astounding, it looks almost like a mix of Silent Hill, Resident Evil, with some FEAR or possibly Dead Space thrown in there. The synopsis of the plot sounds amazing and the idea of having an 'infected' protagonist especially intriguing.

One really... fun thing from the AMY trailer is the emphasis on running and hiding which has been amiss from SH for a while

Great vid Meg :) I'm looking forward to Rage as it looks like a classic ID FPS and that's gotta be a good thing but have to say the acting puts me off a bit as it seems to be very old school and when your used to uncharted it's a bit of a come down lol Not heard of the x-men game but from the trailer it looks like an Infamous DLC with x-men characters lol

I have been putting stickers over my Mac webcam lens as I got a little paranoid about all these stories circulating that people are being spied on through their lens'. It turns out this sticker left some gooey residue :$

Hence the blur-fest. Good news is though it has been fixed ahaha!

The thing that made the first three Silent Hills great was the psychological scare aspect of the fear itself. This Silent Hill just looks like a jump-scare game, don't think it'll be great but it should still be worth playing.

I'm really looking forward to Rage. It wasn't a game that I was initially interested in but it is looking more and more like the type of game BioShock is. I know it's set in a very different environment but there's just something about the gameplay footage I've seen so far that for some reason reminds me of 2K's classic.

Hadn't heard of 'Amy' but must admit it seems like an intriguing concept. It's great to see what's done with facial animation and emotion simulation in some of the new titles.

As a survival horror fan myself Amy is on my hotlist - Johnathan Ross apparently purchased Amy early and mentioned on his Twitter is was amazing. The screens for SH looks exciting too.

If Downpour is a disappointment at the time of the release, would U consider to crash the future games of Silent Hill?, or would give them more chances?. (Including the HD with other voices and the Book of Memories "surprised" and what happened with Homecoming and Shattered Memories).

@JIM90Spain I think franchises and new titles should always be given the benefit of the doubt before playing.

There have been so many "re-boots" that, have not just succeeded, but blown everything else out of the water. A lot have bombed too, but the point I guess I'm trying to make is that you never know.

Teams in the industry are constantly changing staff and vision so I think it's always a good idea to keep an open mind :)

Rage I've been following since its announcement. Im quite a fan of id software's work, especially John Carmack as I find him to be one of the greatest programmers today. If I remember John Goodman lends his voice in this!

Only played a few SH games so Downpour hasn't quite sparked my interest.

X-Men I don't really have an interest, waiting for its release to hear initial impressions.

I'm not a big fan of Silent Hill Series, but screenshots from Downpour looking very, very promising to me, the dark athmosphere and artistic style of some locations, definetely wana try when it'll come out. I think it'll be a little bit slower in gameplay then Alan Wake and less dynamic then Dead Space, but it dosen't matter when you have a good plot and characters behind the gameplay :)

Agreed Meg, the new SH screen shots are certainly more tantalising than the 'Alan Wake: The Rip-Off' stuff that we've seen so far. Similar to X-Men and the whole nostalgic team-gameplay dynamic, I was wondering if you've seen the trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City? It's apparently set during the events of Resi 2 and 3 and usually I love being given an alternate insight into gaming favs (Maria's sub-plot in Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut etc) but I'm a bit sceptical about this?

I'm not real exited about Rage, either, but I'll wait until it comes out and see what people say about it. This is the first time I've heard of Amy and it sounds pretty cool, but I want to know more about it before I judge. The rest of the games you talked about dont look good. I watched gameplay footage of Downpour and couldnt see a thing it was so dark. Silicone Knights suck and I will never buy another game made by them even if its X-Men.
