My childhood passed between these beautiful machines, with their unique sound in the air, and their wiev upon the sky.

Such a shame. So few remains, and I am still missing them.

Such a shame. As an American who has flown into Luhansk airport (south of Luhansk), I did not see these planes. This must be at the old airport just to the east of the downtown area. I wish I'd seen these when I was there...such a shame to see these nice old machines going to waste.

I live in Luhansk and visited the aviation museum this summer. Only saw 2 AN-2's by all of the other aircraft on display. I need to go back this spring and find this row of AN-2's. Great airplane, great video! Thanks!

From what I've read, the An-2 was all-metal, except the Chinese-built (Y-5) version that had fabric wings. I suppose "all-metal" may mean just the frame, but I'm pretty sure most are metal-skinned over the wings.
