  • can i do one more step after I do hop step?

  • @joshuacunanan19 after landing? no but ive heard many diff interpretations of whats legal and not so ask refs b4 game

  • you suck

  • am i suposed to do this move on my defender or on the helping D ? or its doesnt matters ?

  • @iamsekc react in the moment

  • Dr Dre.

  • Comment removed

  • @mless12 stop begging and just go to work. the details will fill themselves in

  • whats the difference between a hopstep and prohop? and is it a travel if you land on two feet and dont jump? what if you land first left then right foot or vice versa? travel or "euro-step"?

  • @DjGoGo09 ask a ref those questions. i juts play the game. pro hop and hop step are the same move

  • @dreupt thing is, ive never played organized basketball, i only play on the streets and dont really have time for the full commitment, which is why is ask

  • @DjGoGo09 then why does it even matter

  • @dreupt hey dre i was wondering if this is a travel i because i always do this. but in other tournaments they cal it a travel. so this is how it goes: first you hop then for example you first land on your right foot then the right foot again and left. its like skipping you know...

  • @crossingXFY ask a ref. i dont worry about what will get called or not

  • @DjGoGo09 a hopstep and pro hop are the same move, its just called a pro hop because in the NBA they are super athletic and can clear tons of space using a hop so it looks like a travel but its the same move, lebron probably has best hopstep/pro hop

euro step is differnet move where instead of landing on two feet you fake one direction with one foot but then take a 2nd step in the other direction and finish on the other side faking out your defender, e.g. manu ginobili or dwyane wade

  • @Mrsexikins go and practice.

  • how can you do this without getting called up and down on you??

  • @BlackDynamite35 cause up and down is when u have picked up your dribble and when u havnt dribbled

  • Yo Dre, I saw rose do lots of these hops do you think there good when theres a massive tall defender on me? Ya know I hope back and shoot

  • @MrTripsJ u have to do it and see what happens

  • @dreupt Yeah ill try it i sw derrick rose he does it like everytime

  • How to not up and down

  • im trying to perfect :39 unblockable could u make a video for it

  • @pspabp look @ my Scoring Moves Playlist > Link on my channel. i use that often

  • Sup Dre, thanks for the videos I'm able to learn some important things from them. Just wondering, when you practice, do you practice on a certain move or moves for the day or do you do everything each time you practice and keep it all-around? Like one day of just post moves/footwork, jumpshots, etc. And how do you pace yourself with working on specific moves/footwork

  • @Indianbrkdncer few things each session

  • this is D-rose favorite move..and this is also one of my favorite...mix this with a teardrop or a floater..

  • wats the difference between a pro hop and a jump stop or are they the same

  • hey dre, this summer i've really worked on mastering the triple threat and practicing moves out of the triple threat so that i can become a great and effecient scorer. The question i wanted to ask was how do i become a great scorer without being tagged as a ball hog, because the more points i wanna score the more shots i have to attempt.

  • @Wade3KG Some idiots will always call you a ball hog if you score a lot, but if it really bothers you, I guess just pass as often or more often than you shoot. But if you're the best player on your team it's gonna be natural for you to be handling the ball or getting the most touches, so I wouldn't sweat retards labeling you as a hog. Look how many people label Kobe as a ball hog, he still is the greatest player nonetheless.

  • @Indianbrkdncer i ain't a kobe hater, but i gotta say most of the games i been seein, even though he gets pretty high points, his shot percentage is pretty low these days, so he gotta take a lot of extra shots to make those points. i still wouldn't play him though :)

  • It's not traveling, traveling is more than two steps..he doesn't take any steps before he hops, it's a single hop

  • @Jayro45 thanks for watching

  • i don't understand the rule at all, is it traveling or not? seems like it should be because u can pump fake like ur going to shoot during ur hop and the defender will fall for it because it looks like ur jumping and shooting but then u get to land and go back up.

  • @MrDrag0npunch thx for watching

  • arn't pro hops technically travelling but they just don;t call em?

  • @Doctorstrange37 you dont walk at all you are taking off with one foot then landing on two

  • @johnjohn123456777 i mean cos another video mentioned it. and ive noticed when doing it you jump onto two feet the jump again, surely thats ni-on travelling?

  • the move you did at 0:31 isn't a hop step, but I have a question about it, how do you execute a similar spin move without your first step during which you spin initiating a pivot foot (the one on which you're standing on,) is it because the other foot only touches the floor once so it counts as a step?

  • @Kiarip watch my "How To Do A Spin Move" vid

  • might wanna forward this video to Lebron... he can't pull it off like you can, without traveling.

  • @5rey67trhtrhtry65765 haha, only traveling if they call it

  • Hi Dre! Whats your position in basketball? :D

  • @adrieldx08 guard

  • i subscribed

  • @freda20092009 thanks! ur in for a treat

  • Dude Your the best!!! This moves is hella legit! Keep it up and you'll be in the NBA in no time! XD

  • @deathlord27 thanks!

  • yo thanx for teaching me the rite way too play ball ma g

  • no problem

  • good stuff i subscribed

  • thank you!!

  • Now that is the correct way to do it. People don't understand that you have to come down on both feet at the same time.

  • yes

  • All of these look legit except the spin move at 0:29. I watched it ten times over and the dribble is picked up on the right foot (pivot foot), pivots around plants the left, then plants the right again just before the shot. In the NBA this is legal (hell, Mello even throws another step in there!) but in college and under I'm 90 percent sure that is a travel. Sick moves though...

  • thanks for watching!

  • I love this move and i do it a lot when im driving but in my school if i do this in a game theyll call it travel but the refs always do and even my own coach called travel on me during a scrimmage and im in 8th grade so idk y they call it a travel when u can just go see the nba player do it

  • keep at it

  • thanks a lot i appreciate it!

  • nice dre. wheres the tim-duncan-esque bank shot workout, i say back to basket backing down and then spin baseline bank shot.

    doooo it

  • thanks. ill see what i can do

  • when i do hop step do i have to go straigh up, or can i still pivot, or is it a travel to pivot?

  • after doing the hop, you cannot pivot.

  • right

  • after the hop u have to go up

  • Dre, If I don't land both feet at the same time while I do the pro hop , does that mean that I traveled? Thanks for the answer.

  • yes.

  • this is the hop step right?

  • yes

  • when goin into da draft?

  • will be via free agency. draft is only 1 time thru

  • that finger roll at 40 is really good espicially since its the left good shit

  • thanks

  • why you put nba players names after your workouts. and do you have a set workout that you do everday that doesn't get video taped?

  • coz those players use that move so he put there names

  • right

  • i do lots of diff things day to day, not always the same. of course most the stuff i do will never be seen on youtube

  • dude go spend time with ur fam

  • @matrixrange4 hes got the rest of the day to do that

  • thanks for watching!

  • lol!

  • i know this isnt a travel but i dont understand why its not. im afraid if i were to use this in my leage right now i would get called for travel

  • unless ur playing in a league where nobody has seen an nba game or any type of competitive league. U should be fine. Its not a travel

  • i agree

  • @Urbank06 It's not a travel cause he doesn't pick the ball up then do a jumpstop, he catches the ball when he dribbles then comes down with it

  • right

  • you wont, if u get called ask the ref why

  • yeah, haha

  • Dude it's absolutely legal even if u are playin in europe!

  • true

  • n this is legal

  • awesome dre :D!

  • thanks!
