  • how old are you???(in this video)

  • sounds great

  • ye olde rick roll

  • CLASSIC ROLLED

  • very good, but why you use a capo? these ppl should shut up your very good

  • so sweet =:)

  • Very nice.. it definitely sounds much nicer with the capo. Your guitar sounds really sweet too!

  • well done, keep it up

  • I've seen better, but u play it better than I do, so what am I to complain. Ur awesome, too

  • Capo?

  • a veryy nicely played attempt, thumbs up

  • Well done

  • Very nicely played.

  • whats up with the tie???

  • he looks like Jimmy BULLY

  • @mrJoaomarcos27 lol jummy hopkins? no way

  • @mrJoaomarcos27 looks more like rick astley

  • ¿? hu?

  • I see your hungery for the rock.. Now screw your instructor and escape your fathers clutches on that oppressive neiborhood and go my son and ROOOOOOOOOOOOCK!!!!

  • @ArticKing420 tenacious D rocks ;)

  • You are really good! Fuck the haters, you rock and I'm sure they aren't as good as you

  • si le quitaras el capo sonaria mejor

  • Sounds good, unlike many here I had no particular problem with the capo (although it was unneccesary). Obviously it would sound better had you recorded it on classical guitar.

  • Youre good at guitar, mr astley

  • You are playing a little bit fast as we think. And the thumb suppose to be behind, I know that from my teacher. But we love this music and I think you are playing very well.

  • bahaha. never gonna give you up!

  • e minor?

  • @dimamen

He has the bar thing two frets up. He's playing in F# minor.

  • In playing with acoustic guitar is necessary to hide first finger on left hand, and this symphony you playd too bad, you missed intension of sound. And why you didnt play that in E Minor You didnt need to use Capo.. Just care on your finger, you wont have any chance play faster and harder passing

  • @Xappy999 what's with all the shit? He played it didn't he?

  • he has no soul

  • pfff yo lo ago mejor y sin ver jaja y si capotrasto jajaja

  • why not in E minor???

  • I'VE BEEN RICK ROLLED!!! xDD

  • haaaa

  • @SexyTriggerMan LMFAO hahahahaha I was thinkin the same thing.

  • half perfect... you dont need capo... there are short breaks that should not be there... i think it is played little faster... but it is good... i know how to play this song too but cant play it any beter than you...

  • not bad mate but personally i didnt like the way you finished the piece.and you dont need capo to play this bouree.keep playing, peace

  • sorry you are very quick

  • @thibaux561, that's totally true, he has the skills to do a little freestyle.

@dfirstbrook, you have long fingers, must be handy for your guitarcareer!

  • Well done

I just learned the first part but then I was too lazy :D:D

  • @BornOfOiris

    me too!

  • Fantastico

  • even though, as some have already pointed out, this is meant to be played on a classical guitar, i really like your acoustic version. it gives a more "medieval" feeling, which i enjoy very much. Im learning this myself right now. Good job, mate!

  • i can play the beginning of that so far not the full thing yet i cant play the part after the repeat

  • good job.

  • You did fine - just do what you do - even if you get bored with it - keep doing it - try not always to be "safe" - take risks - even if it excites disparagement from the haters - au revoir, petit rouge - Thibaux the Tiger.

  • very pleasant interpretation, the tempo is perfect and u have a very good sense of the musical phrases. I like the ending very much as well, except for the harmonics. The downward progression in the second part can be played with a different fingering (using barres) which was much easier to me. just to let u know.

  • Why is it transposed to F# minor?

  • this is very hard to play. play this, record, post, and then write negative comments. he played it quite clear. good job.

  • three flaws:

    1. should be played on classic guitar, not acoustic.

    2. wrong fingerrings, both right and left hand. you should get guidance from someone. you are surposed to use "i" and "m" fingers in places where several notes are played on the same string and not only "m". (on right hand)

    3. nice work, but you should notice some more small details and im sure you will bring the piece to perfection eventualy.

  • also missing jack black

  • Very true, you can tell he was a beginner by the time this video was recorded, the "one finger pluckering" vice is evident, and it's a common one among beginning players, and it's quite irritating to get rid of.

  • Very good! Not quite Andres Segovia or Julian Bream, or John Williams, but could soon be.

  • Nicely done. Thanks!

  • Can't you see, he's the man? Let me hear you applaud.

He is more than "the man", he's a shiny, golden god.

  • Cant you see how old is he? Cool down dude!

    Man you are very good!

  • hey Chris - lose the hateful attitude and call yourself a human being. BIGOT

  • ...you know that Bouree doesn't HAVE to be played in E minor, right? Of course, I agree that the capo really isn't needed, but yeah...

It doesn't sound bad, save the vulgarity for a guitarist who needs it thrown at them, pity on whomever that is. XD

  • It's not played in E minor, as it's supposed to be, and the technical part fails big time, you made so many mistakes I kind of cringed whilst watching this.

But then again, this video was posted 3 years ago, I reckon you're way better nowadays.

  • es una melodia nostalgica, y la tocas bien. Felicidades

  • awesome man, and love your hair!

  • how did this video get so many views? No offence... but this is the worst version of the bourree in E minor i ever heard. Im sorry but it really sucks. Why did you use a capo and whats with the steel string guitar?

  • If I'd play bouree, record it and post it on youtube it would be terrible compared to this. He aint half bad, I think you've just got some sand in your vagina from the gangrape earlier today.

  • To start if your trying to be funny you fail big time. Honestly i give him credit for trying but he asked peaples opinions and mine is that the version sucks. I suggest you stop posting some useless dumb comments.

  • wow, you actually singed in 2 accounts to come back at me and thumb up your own comment? That's pretty imnpressive of you, you can obviously read as well. You'd make your prents proud, only if they wouldnt have left you in a basket outside a church as a baby.

  • huh what? whatever you say. Im tired of your dumb comments anyways. Just do me a favor and shut up.

  • shut up man hes awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you must obviously not know much about music. I play the classical guitar and i know the difference out of a bad and good performance. that one was terrible. im gettin tired of commenting on this video so i think you should shut up if you dont know what your talking about because you obviously don"t

  • You're a douch bag Dsilver

  • Go to hell.

  • already there! this version sucks and you know it

  • The bass run that ends @ 1:30 is nice and fluid. I wish I was playing Bach at this age instead of trying to be a rock and roll wanker. Keep practicing and you will do well. Good job.

  • Where can i find the tab for that? i keep finding bits and pieces and they are usually wrong. I have a few bars down but cant find the rest.

  • He can have fun AND improve at the same time , if he wants of corse.

I'm sure the dude can take criticism and filter out what he thinks is important. Actually, he even asked for peoples opinion on his video description.

I really cannot understand why people need to defend others against criticism. We are not babies, we can be mature and handle exchange of ideas right ?

Why the constant need for praise , and shoving out ( with negative comment points ) whoever has a different opinion ?

  • Nothing worong with criticism. It helps you grow. Its the trolls that personally piss me off on a bad day. Aye, he could be better, but it was pretty good.

  • Guy sucks plain and simple

  • you suck - he's way past you

  • hahahaha I had to laugh at you for the totally bored look on your face ! no offense! that was awesome! i wish i were half as good ! dont listen to that dickhole ruantotoy underneath me!

  • you play it to fast, it`s like at 90 an of course sounds better on nylon, and you should practice more, it sounds dirty, your right hand has a bad position. good luck.

  • why are people offended because of criticism ? One only betters himself if he is criticized. It is good and healthy.

dfirstbrook: I too think you want to play it too fast, and it goes out of your confort zone.

My advice is try slower and with less bum notes, and increase the speed with time. It can be frustrating ( coz you want to hear it at normal speed) but is more rewarding in the long run.

Ruantotoy - I have a similar right hand position when I play. What needs correcting ?

  • the reason you need to correct it it's because when you play harder things, your wrist may get a dislocation, and i say he should practice more because maybe he'll be a good guitarrist. and with that i dont mean, he's bad, but listen to eliot fisk, or leo brower, andres segovia etc and i thnik he should play their works, ok, im not posting another thing in this vid.

  • Well you answered the how but not the why, which is what I'm interested in. :)

Anyway, from what I figured out is that I actually don't play like Dfirstbrook, although my wrist is slightly angled too. The big difference is that I lay the guitar on my left leg, thus creating more room for my right arm to fit in the guitar.

So Dfirstbrook, using the right leg, and trying to keep a good downward right hand position creates what I believe is unecessary tension and strain on his wrist.

  • oops I meant to say you answered the why but not the how :)

  • why don't play a classic guitar?

  • Great :) I love Bach!

    Nat

  • well played. would sound much better on nylon, rather than tinny steel.

  • WOW!

    Respect!

Those fingers are moving so fast, can't belife it!

  • You don't stand a chance against me !!!!! xD I'm kidding, nice job but you should practice a lot more!!!!

  • Nice job

  • You sound like you are on the road to becoming a fine musician. Don't give up! I love the song :)

  • we from west phillie bish get da fuck out if yall know waz good fo ya soul

  • terrible sound, better stop playing!

  • fuck of n die it sounds great

  • no problem ;)

but please tune the guitar first!

    thanks

  • Lovely - nice sound!

  • Blah blah blah. Take it from me you're very good and you're still young.......that means you're gonna keep getting better. So ignore the negatives and keep on plucking away sir cos you got a lot of talent there..........and it's gonna get to stage where you'll be a truely great player.......as long as you keep at it........which I'm sure you will.

    Well impressed dude!!

  • Your fingers resemble those of a 6 month dead corpse...no offense.

  • Comment removed

  • i concur

  • good job! young talent needs to be recognized and encouraged at all times! :D

  • Definitely get rid of the capo. Why are you even using it? It's Bourree in Em, not F#m. You're playing the whole song one half step up from its correct key. Otherwise nice work, just keep practicing, and you'll be great.

  • This is a response to Happyhmonkey. the reason for the capo is for a lute sound. It was written for the Lute so he is correct to use a capo. Sounds great dfirstbrook. Keep up the good work.

  • Very nice work, keep honing the skill!!!

  • rick astley!??!

  • Ditch capo. Definitely. Now. No capo in classical music. And train a little more, you play a little below my level and I'm a bassguitarist.

  • just correct your posture and that song does not need capo. but good performance :D

  • I think you have it very well. Good performance

  • Wtf people?! Hey dude, don't listen 2 them! Good job man!

  • there is just something about your face... i want to punch it... dont be so ugly and faggy.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • hahahaha

  • nicee =D i wish that i new how to play guitar

  • last comment a touch harsh, yes i agree nylon always but it was a brave attempt at a diffecult piece. keepp pracising not coz your bad, but because it will only sound BETTER

  • I learn it on my guitar lesson and I know that's very very hard song...

    nice work!!!

  • travaille un peu ta technique !!

    ca sonne maaal

  • would be funny if in the middle in the video it would mute and start playing Bring Me The Horizon :D

  • Use I and A!

    Use a nylon!

    Use proper posture!

  • nice work...a few mistakes but this is a hard peace

  • is sounded more humble and less intense

  • by looking at this guy i fort i got rick rolled

  • are you saying that isn't in fact Rick Astley?

    news to me

  • I like this song. :-)

  • dont wanna be mean but it hade no emotion and sounded pretty bad. NO capo! Use nylon! or even better get a classical guitar. But most of all pratice it a lot more.

  • maybe he's just focused?

personally, im glad i took my socks off before watching this, because they would have been rocked right off.

  • ak2479, why dont you try and play this? I have been playing guitar (electric and classical) for upwards of 5 years and i still find this song challenging. But i do agree with salisaad, no capo and practice if your gonna play on a steel not nylon. But still good job

  • idk what everyone else is talking about, this is pretty good.

  • hey forget evryone else you did pretty good concidering the piece but some parts r wrong but thats okay. good job

  • Why are you guys all so harsh, I mean okay it's not perfect but still. Encourage him instead of Critisising him. It needs work, but I enjoyed it never the less

  • I did not enjoy this...

  • Good)

  • hehe... he does look like the cliche snooty little english kid from a private school. but it also sounds like what you think one would sound like. his parents pay for guitar lessons... he learns bach... no creativity... no feeling. this was actually pretty hard to listen to.

  • And you sound like a total tool. Get a life.

  • i think you heard me pretty wrong but... whatever.

  • woah, you sir are damn right, this guys a total tool

  • Ditch the capo. No capo on classical pieces under death sentence. And train some more. It's more difficult to play on steels, so train and train.

  • wow that sucked, you got it all wrong bro

  • lol private school kid.

    tenacious ds version is better.

  • lol, totally.

  • agreed

  • honestly could have been a lot better...

  • HE'S ENGLISH!! XD i am too!

o btw it was really good

  • Why do all these people, hate? Ya'll probably couldn't even get through the first three measures of the song.

  • I just started learning this song like 4 hours ago. I can play it at about this level now :P.

  • I am learning this tune too. It is a pretty difficult piece. You did a nice job on it buddy - keep playing and don't worry about the people who paste hateful comments online. That's the internet for you - anonymity allows people to behave in really unkind ways. Most of those who post such comments can't even play the guitar. I think you played this nicely and hope you continue your love for the guitar! Kind regards!

  • that was pretty terrible

  • Does anyone have the correct tabs for this one? Please don't hate me for not being able to read sheet music... -_-

  • I've had fits of diarrhea that sounded better than this.

  • Some nice ornamentation that I really should bother with but don't, speed's ideal, can't see the fingerwork but it sounds good.

    My only criticism... USE NYLON!!!

  • I also play this song (not up to speed yet). You're pretty good but I would recommend maybe slowing it down a bit and concentrating on the trickier parts - thats what I've been doing! I've never tried it with the capo before but it seems to work - good job!

  • good job man!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • can anyone who commented on this ACTUALLY play bouree classically? its hard as hell to learn classical guitar playing taking years of practice and lessons...and to comment on the people complaining about playing classical pieces on acoustics, go die in a place where your stench wont bother people...

    GOOD JOB! ^.^

  • Do you mean playing Bouree on a classical guitar is harder than acoustic? If so I disagree... Finger style on classical guitar is a lot easier, thus making Bouree on a classical guitar easier. I agree with you though, good job.

  • classical guitar is also acoustic guitar, is ii not? you mean acosutic steel-string vs (acoustic) classical guitar aka spanish guitar

  • hehe, actually i can play this one, but also i have been studyin classical guitar for 5 years now

  • is ok

but you need a other guitar to play that piece or mute de strings

    you are good man

    take a look my videos

    bye

  • you can't play back with an acoustic guitar ....you need i classic guitar

  • good job... but wat is the point of the capo? there is no need to change the key.. just curious.

  • I Agree With The Guy Down There You Shouldnt Hae Used A Capo, A Few Notes Were Out, And You Were Muting A Few Of Them.

  • only cheaters use capos!!! cheater!!

  • not perfect but ok

  • Actually dude, making it as a musician isn't about skill at all. No amount of virtuosity can help you become famous, that's all there is to it, you just need to be popular, notice how pretty much anything you hear on the radio is crap? Well that proves my point.

  • Azkeyz, if your neck of the woods is Lipszeig, Weimar or Cothen then maybe your "lecture" will be heard. Otherwise give the kid credit. He's got great taste and playing Bach. At least he's not butchering Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water. Everybody's a critic on this YouTube and most of these critics cannot play. Let's see your version "genius".

  • you gotta be cruel to be kind.

If I cought you treating bach like that in my neck of the woods I'd give you a serious lecture.

other than that , you stand a good change of making it in rock , they suck too but look at their bank accounts.

  • ooh men.. that's a nice song.. You should spend more time cleaning you sound.. there are a couple of points that your sound gets too non-crystal..

you should definately work on that..

    good job anyway!

  • Very good.I think that Bach sounds great on steel-strung.

  • Though it's not in e minor, it's still excellent!! One of my favorites from Bach..

  • nice...i can only play a page

  • its nice...but more practice ;)

  • sounds good

  • nice, i can only play it slowly

  • OK.
