There is no such thing as checking one's faith/worldview at the door. Every individual has a perception of reality, and to ask someone to have a "neutral" perception is ridiculous. No such "independence" of existence exists. In the words of Chris Rice, it would be like asking someone to "smell the color nine." Secular/religious (what have you), we all have a faith/worldview. Freedom in this nation allows us to elect a leader with any worldview (not to elect "nothing" for a leader.)
