So, I had this conversation in the car with my mom about altruism yesterday and I get online after a long vacation to see that you've made a video about it. Do you think sychronicity is coincidence, or that there is some sort of unproven principle where our lives sync in a way to experience the same thoughts separately but simultaneously? Stuff like this happens to me all the time. -Natalie
With mearly 23 episodes of QLP left, what are your plans after the show? And how do you plan on pancake flipping yourself through the 26th year of your life?
I`ve moved across the world to Switzerland from Canada and I will be here for a year. I`ve only been here for 3 weeks, but my host family is very great they make this place feel like home. Also, joining a rugby team and going out has helped me meet people and make great friends. I`m doing okay, Also Nate I watch your videos every week no matter where in the world I am. Keep it up, Thanks Ted
You have no idea how ridiculously happy that made me. Thank you.
I asked cause your videos changed a lot. Your other personalities are gone and your questions and answers are all deep and contemplative and kinda lonely seeming. I don't know. I do enjoy it very much, but you just seemed kinda sad in the last few. Maybe your homesick was showing.
I don't have a place I'm comfortable calling home. I'm not okay.
This makes me miss Colorado. I've been gone for a week and I already can't wait to go back. The mountains and bears and even those damn pine beetles are no where to be found in NY. And home isn't either. Yet. I shipped it out here with my books and my bedding but it seems to have been lost in the mail. I'll let you know when I find it. Until then, no I'm not okay.
I asked this home question a few months ago. I've yet to figure out if I consider NC or Bogota my real home. But when I think about it, I don't have an actual home in Bogota (summer house doesn't count). Other people are living in it, and I don't think my grandma's is my home. The best way I can think of it, is that my home is where my bed is (tempurpedic) because it's the most comfortable in the world, and I know my room will always pause and wait for me.

This QLP video reminds me of Emile Hirsch's narration in Into the Wild
