the best tip is get lessons mate belave me i strugled for a year with books my mate is teaching me i now im very lucky coz he was a season bassist and jamed with just about every famuss bas player there is, 2 leasons in and he all ready given me a load of skills so i am 1 step closer to jamming, may you get as much fun out of the bass as i doooo, grate playing mannnnnnnnnnnnnn

Concediti più tempo, cinque mesi sono ancora pochi, vedrai che con lo studio costante , le tecniche che utilizzi ti renderanno giustizia;l'importante è che non cerchi la tecnica a tutti i costi, ma la musica ti conduca naturalmente ad utilizzarla a seconda dei casi;-)

Essenzialmente il chitarrismo del funk mainstream , più che solistico è fortemente ritmico: prova con i classici Tower of Power,l'album "back to oakland",  o gli "Sly and Family stone", ; sul versante più groovy fusion contemporaneo e solistico per la chitarra prova Wayne Krantz, qualcosa degli Steely Dan; eccellente anche uno degli ultimi album di Bireli Lagrene, "electric side", qualche disco di Alain Caron, Tribal tech, più easy è Lee Ritenour, e tantissimi altri...
