@HBKMoocats No, they just move faster, im not sure about drones but they mine at the same pace. The Queen is the unit that gives a zerg player a economic advantage by puking larva in the hatch/lair/hive.

The bunkers consist of alive units like marines while cannons are 100% mechanical, thats why they don't count in food supply. If 1 marine counts 2 supply and you have four marines in a bunker you are having 8 supply marines inside a bunker.

While I'm unsure of the exact reasonings, here's my guess:

Cannons are permanent buildings, built purely as static defenses. Bunkers are salvageable. I don't recall ever seeing them used in this way, but you could continually build/salvage bunkers to push up your line, making them more a part of your mobile army than a static defense. If my guess is correct, though, that means spine/spore crawlers should also count for army.
