  • "Girl I'm so sorry, so what more can a poor boy do,

    I'm reaching out to you,

    So now don't you stay"

  • God damn. Golden singing!

  • you can pour crown and coke on a heartbreak. won't heal it

  • damn i'm addicted too this song

  • miss you girl

  • I have the original cassette, 1980, and love it! this is one of a very few albums that i can say, as a whole, is truely heartfelt.....

  • ahh, rare Journey song. Steve sounds so concentrated and connected to the lyrics and emotion. absolute gold.

  • this is the flipside of the "Open Arms" .45 record....

  • I remember when I bought this album, long time ago...Steve's voice is amazing!!!!!

  • wow..I literally just discovered this song like two days ago on my new Greatest Hits Volume 2 CD, and I am in love with this song..it's so emotional, but yet so strong and powerful. I now know 44 Journey songs OFF BY HEART!

  • Oh man, 4:52 always makes me cry like a Little Girl.

  • Why have I never heard this song before?!

  • Does anyone know where I can find the movie? I really want to watch it since the music is amazing! (Gotta get this soundtrack, too.)

  • god!god!

  • i dry

  • I discovered this song when my mom got remarried and my stepdad had this enormouse collection of albums about 3ooo at the time i loved this song from day one lol that was 22 years ago man do i feel old Hahahaha

  • HARMONY!!!!!!

  • This album redefines "obscure". You won't find this one at your local record shop!

  • Dont feel too bad, this album was a Japanese one and it took me a long time to find a vinyl of it. It's awesome. It is the soundtrack to the Japanese movie - Dream after Dream

  • 1980

  • I still cry during this song, I am always that Little Girl!!!! But no one has ever said they were sorry, nor told me from the start!

  • "dixie highway" is the best...

  • one of their finest songs musically. the orchestration and vocals and instrumentalization sounds stronger and 10 x more complex than "Don't Stop Believin'" besides, have you ever heard a Journey song so powerfully dramatic? Other than some of their ballads, this is the real deal, and its not even a ballad!

  • @miiwii93

Great song...first time i hear this. If you want to hear something very dramatic and intense by Journey with Steve Perry, listen to '' Mother, father'' on the ''Escape' cd

  • @guyfournier10 i have heard that, and thats a very intense and proggy song as well

  • @miiwii93 Yes it is... very artistic and great modulations (About, ''Mother, Father'' )

  • Love Greg's harmonica solo at the end, gives me goose bumps.

  • This whole song is hauntingly beautiful, but Steve's vocals from 2:37 - 3:13 is what *really* gets me. I've never heard another group convey pure emotion quite like Journey has. Buy their "Evolution" album and listen to it, uninterrupted, from start to finish.

  • @Thompsongs "Evolution" is an awesome album I will agree with you, but artistic best IMO is "Infinity" "Winds Of March" is sooooooooo awesome with Perry's voice and Rolie tickling the ivory it's just really awesome! The whole album is good.

That's when you know Journey is an awesome band, when fans can't agree which album is their best.

  • @sandrapoet hell you're right man...

  • Beautiful song!!! :D

  • Why you lock this video???Pleaseeeeeeeeee

  • ......

  • Love this song.

  • I was fortunate enough to have this album that was released only in Japan. This song is just so beautiful!

  • @moonspirit420 You could buy it in the states in the import section of any good record store. I bought mine at the Record Bar in 82

  • esta canion es espectacular es linda y lo mas chevere es la parte ultima con la harmonica

  • Wow, haven't heard this in decades.... he's still The Voice...

  • this song was aweome, really pretty and sad but sooo soulful, Perry rocked it like a rockstar

I think it's one of the lesser known ones because the managers for Journey have always steered them towards more cheerful sounding poppy love songs

this one is kind of a bummer :(

  • Beautiful..........♥

  • AMAZING = JOURNEY

  • AMAZING = JOURNEY

  • Tremendous song!! One of their best, why the hell it ended up on an obscure soundtrack album that very few people ever heard just baffles me.........

  • amazing = journey

  • @marco64galrza esta cancion es genial

  • my cancion favorita

  • I have this soundtrack somewhere at my parents house. I bought it back in 1982 for $20, all for this song.

  • This is by far my most favorite song that Journey ever did! I agree that Dream After Dream was a stellar album that didn't get the recognition it deserved which is really too bad. I have the CD and play it still over and over!

  • This Is The B Side Of My Favorite Song "Open Arms" .Just Another Song That Journey Did That Could Of Been And Should Of Been Hit But Wasn't !

  • I remember a radio interview with journey say 1979 or 1980 or around there they played this song and have loved it since. Don't know the year it came out for sure.

  • I love you Pam - you are my little girl and i will love you forever. xxxx try steve perry rare track called - one more time

  • so many thanks my favourite song!

  • I TRULY am ashamed I've never heard this song before!! How incredibly BEAUTIFUL!!!! Steve Perry could sing "Ring Around the Rosie" and I'd turn to mush!! hahaha SERIOUSLY!! Thanks again for sending this to me Sheila!!

  • I haven't heard this B4 myself. I think this would have added another notch to their #1 hits if it had radio play. Truly and instantaneously a quardruple Platinum hit in my book. This song will ring in my head all night tonight!

  • Thanks Sheila! One of my favorites.

  • I just KNEW that Youtube would have it somewhere...I only heard it a few times on the radio...til I found the album...it was a soundtrack album to a Japanese movie...

  • what Japanese movie is that?

  • One of the most overlooked albums in Journey's catalogue, DREAM AFTER DREAM is the band's soundtrack for a little-seen 1980s Japanese film of the same name.

  • My parents had the 45 of "Open Arms", of the course one of their best known songs, but one day I flipped the other side of it with this song, and I loved it all the sudden. Good vocals, great lyrics, and amazing guitar solo!!! My favorite Journey song by far.

  • that is totally how I heard it but it was me that had the 45... ha ha

  • Top 5 all-time Journey song here folks. Pure.

  • Incredible song, one of my fave Journey songs :) Thanks for uploading it :)
