@wildmandazza Australia is a shit hole of a country when it comes to police corruption. corrupt police provide paid protection to and are connected to outlaw motorcycle gangs and crime bosses. They kill any one who "supposedly" rats on their illicit trades by creating a fear and panic situation in their intended "victims" and either shoot them when they are in an irrational state of mind or "suicide" them in police cells.

I can't believe JP's are allowed to sign warrants.. that is insane. I had to get a JP to witness my court papers once. The guy was a member of the local golf club i worked at. One day he helped me close up. He couldn't even count the till properly... but he can authorise police to search my home? o.O

Does any one actually know what the CMC does when it comes to police matters such as these??? The CMC transferes the matters to The Ethical Standards Unit... which is one officer AT THE SAME STATION investigating a fellow officer. SO straight off the bat we know what the verdict is going to be, second its NOT only the Gold Coast police who are corrupt.... Its almost the entire force..... I live in Logan and around this area there are quite a number of corrupt police.....

I was raided on the Gold Coast, It was a big shock to us and of course they found nothing. I questioned them at the time asking what evedience they had to have reason to raid us but they would not say. They gave us a warrant, it had the name of the previous tennant on it who had not lived there for at least 2 years.

I'm pretty sure cops would rather prey on scumbags who are actually guilty. the only time "innocent" people come into contact with cops is when they are extrememly drunk (and generally do something stupid and illegal in front of them), when they are doing dumb things on the road (like speeding or talking on mobiles) or when they are victims of crime. I don't know a single cop who enjoys punnishing a good person. They thrive on catching the scum.

@downunderbirdy You haven't had much to do with cops then. They love punishing for the feeling of power. Most of my own and many of my friends experiences have been rather negative. I have been attacked by police and accused of crimes I didn't commit, threatened and intimidated by thick-skulled bulldozer men who should be behind bars but are instead running around with guns and badges.

Falsifying information on probable cause in a search warrent should be a jailable offence, minimum 2yrs! What troubles me is the media rarely ever report on the outcome of investigations like this, the story often tends to blow over and people just forget about it! Why? because the justice system/courts and judges are just as corrupt, and reporting on the outcome whould be spell it out!

@jmaros15 The CMC now has the power to interrogate the media and force them to answer questions about sources etc in their "star chamber" as they call it (Do a search for this on newsDOTcomDOTau. Anyone who speaks to media cannot now be guaranteed anonymity as per the traditional journalistic ethics code of "never revealing sources", so they are stuffed and won't talk. I agree, these bastards have to serve hard time, get the equivalent civilian sentence and double it for abuse of power.
