While this is a horrible Superman movie and this the most bizarre surreal moment of any Superman moment. A part of me likes the Evil Superman scenes in this movie.
This was one of my favourite moments in the whole trilogy, especially the part where when Clark stands up after throttling "bad" Superman and you hear John Williams' original fanfare (albeit Ken Thorne's orchestra!) played out for the first time properly!!!!
i love the look on Superman's face at 0:55...confused, angry, almost offended. For such a crummy movie, Reeve (and his double, Mark Stewart) should be commended for their professionalism. Also note the use of sound effects to help "sell" the scene. Personally, I think Superman should have been enjoying Kent's screams of pain, rather than being suspicious, until Kent breaks through the wall and throttles the bastard.
notice how clark kent gets tired after throwing those tires to confine evil superman why is that. i mean the man of steel should never get out of breath and also he should have already known that rubber tires couldn't hold evil superman and also why did he show fear while being crushed in the car smasher he knows he's invulnerable i think the directer made a huge mistake with those scenes from my point of view what a blunder
fashizze you have to remember that Superman had been split down the middle, both sharing the same power, making them weaker than normal. Also the synthetic kryptonite probably had some very miminal weakening effects on both.
Well even if Superman was still at half strength he still could do that. There is a theory that the junkyard battle took place in his mind for struggle and control, eventually the good side won.
I don't see the resemblance. I mean, Bizarro's more than just an evil Superman. He's a clone of Superman who didn't turn out quite right. He isn't a clone here, just Superman under the effects of that synthetic kryptonite.
exactly, but with all the rumors about bizarro in Superman: Man of Steel, and with modern CGI and effects, i cant wait to see wat kind of things they'll have in tht, lol
This film is great. I know it is different then the first two but it isn't bad. At least it has some interesting scenes like this one. Superman 4 is totally bad.
What if Superman showed up at your workplace one day and started having an emotional meltdown? They'd have to give you an automatic rest of the day off, don't you think?
Oh Lord, I love it when evil Superman eggs him on to fight! "Oh yeah, all right, c'mere, c'mon, c'mon!" He kinda sounds like Michael Keaton: "Ya wanna get nuts? C'mon, let's get nuts!"
Anybody else think it looks more like Clark is giving him a neck and shoulder massage?
Has anyone noticed? Some scenes from SM 3 (ChemPlant fire, ClassReunion, Evil Superman and junkyard fight and recover) fits well in SM4(Next to Clark visit smallville, Solarman infects SM, SM "recovers" and triumphant return). Notice also both involves a "BOY". There is a LOT of effects to fix in SM4 but by inserting some scenes from SM3 would really SM4 great. By the way 20 years anniversary of Superman IV- Chris Reeve's incomplete movie.
Anything is good compared to the 4th movie. The damn studio fucked Chris Reeve over and came into that one with a virtually non-existant budget. This was a bad movie that was still being made with the proper budget for a Superman movie.
Why, oh why was so much of Superman III cut from the DVD? -Just bits here and there. It especially annoys me because I had an uncut version on video taped from tv when I was a kid. They were mainly comical lines, so maybe they thought there was just a little too much comedy in it overall. Someone explain if you know the answer.
Why have you edited it down? ...Damn and I was going to watch this video and everything.

The evil Superman's dark colors blends with the newly released Superman of today.

Evil Superman FTW. BTW...I love the darker costume. It just made him look bad ass

I think Superman 3 was the worst of all the Superman movies starring Christopher Reeves...however, it was still better than Superman Returns.
Out of all the Chris Reeves Superman movies, Superman 2 was the best one..."KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!"

Oh shit! The Blade Runner poster in the back on Clark Kent! Did you notice it!?

This was the best scene in Superman III.
I think it shows how good an actor Chris Reeve was.
Too bad the rest of the movie wasn't up to par.

supposedly when the two of them fight, it should have been dragonball style, and moving fast. here, they are slower than normal boxers!

Although the movie sucked, The fight scene Superman vs Clark Kent was the best

I especially loved Superman III as there were so many obviously expensive hydraulics to make him fly. No expense was spared. Brilliant!!

good metaphor in that scene in the video. good metaphor about fighting against the evil within us and conquering it.
