  • Just wanted to share my story of my wedding make-up. I had a fantastic tutorial at Christian Dior from a lovely man, who didn't ask me to buy products. It was amazing He even gave me his mobile no to call him on my wedding day for advice. I was so touched and I can never thank him enoughxxxxxxx

  • Hi Wayne! I'm wondering if you would consider doing some videos specifically on wedding makeup, as you mention it being much trickier than it seems. I am starting out in the industry and want to learn as much as I can about this area as its the best option for me as an artist. I would love to learn about going from various lighting situations as well as do's and don'ts for makeup in wedding photos. Would make a lovely series, hint hint! wink...

  • I like watching your tutorial videos and reviews. They've been really helpful. :)

  • Make money easy! Check out my video!

  • Easy and Free way to make cash check out my video!

  • Wow thanks for the encouragement. Would you plz do an update to this video?

  • I wish I'd had you as a sales guy at a makeup counter - I've gotten mismatched so many times by the "professionals" who are desperate for selling so many times...*sigh*

  • oh,his married,too bad :)

  • hey hey! Have you heard about the Intellitus Cash System (do a google search)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my buddy earned insane amounts of moolah.

  • This is really helpful.I want to work with the everyday woman/bridal makeup. Just to see how much confidence a woman gets just by having a makeover is amazing to me. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do it. I also hate selling to people and being sold to which is why I'm slow to apply for a cosmetic job. Thanks for sharing!

  • love ur hair style...ur just handome :)

  • Thank you soo much! This was so helpful! And I completely agree about hard selling? Hate when people do that!

  • thank you so much i love your attitude towards selling products. I absolutely hate it when sales assistants try to make me buy other products i literally feel like ive been robbed when i get home.

  • I love this video! I've been wanting to get into make up artistry and I really think that my nieces were my inspiration. They have recently hit their teens and since they know I love make up they were coming to me with questions and asking me to do their make up for parties and events. I really think there is a market for teaching teens and the younger set, plus I live near LA, where there are a lot of quinceneras (sweet 15 sort of parties) that people spend tons of money on. Thanks Wayne!

  • Do a wedding makeup tutorial!

  • GOD BLESS YOU ! FOR SHARING THE KNOW HOW. I TO STARTED DOING MY OWN MAKEUP AT FIRST, I ALWAYS GOT COMPLIMENTS ON HOW WELL I APPLIED MY MAKEUP AND FOR HAVING GOOD SKIN . SO I STARTED DOING MAKEUP FOR PROMS.AND THAT LED TO FACIALS. I TAUGHT MYSELF HOW TO DO THAT AS WELL .THANK YOU SO MUCH ! FOR SHARING YOUR IDEAS . YOU ARE TRUELY A ROCK STAR .

  • Hey there! It's been a good while since I first saw a video of you and that I became addicted to you helpful technique. Speaking of Wedding make up, I am planning to get married next year, and I was wondering if you you could do my make up. I don't live in the UK so I can offer you a holiday trip next summer if we agree on the deal. Please do not hesitate to contact me if this is of interest to you!

    Best,

  • <3

  • I absolutely love your channel.. i just recently found your page and i love all the advice you give, especially the how to apply blush demo vid.. i went to a MAC counter just yesterday (at a mall i normally dont shop at b/c no one seems to speak english) and the beautiful young lady there had little to no knowledge on the foundations available.. so i just got a couple of samples and ended up getting the makeup forever hd foundation.. anyways, thanks for your time putting out these vids

  • Subscribed. I love the fact your honest. I have noticed at several places they love to hard sell lots of stuff. I have just started my make up business. I do bridal make up, proms and to nights out. :D

  • Ahhh! I loove that semi wink he always does at the end of his videos!! :D

  • you are hot. very very hot.

  • So helpful :D

  • im so happy i found your channel :) !!!!

  • Being a bloke; how adorable : )

  • Mr. Wayne, I love your speech and it gave me inspiration to try your suggestions though I am highly doubting MAC and Sephora would hire an 18 year old gal since they all want Licensed Cosmetologists that are beyond the 21 age limit.

Thank you for the video though<3

P.S. Am I the only teen that watches him?

I must admit, even though you suggest these certain makeup tips for older women, I will try them out myself too.

  • I love you. Thankyou so much for this.

  • Loved it Wayne, except that I am 34 and look good and feel like a kid and you made me feel old:(

  • @Jessylovesmakeup1 I understand how you feel, but lets face it: We're not in our 20s any longer. You may FEEL like a kid, but nearly being in our mid 30s, there are limits on what you can do with skincare to stop the clock... Part of being an artist, whether it be makeup or otherwise, you have to be receptive of learning new things and coming to terms with what's true. Sure, there are different ways to point that out, but a fact is still a fact; the techniques and textures are different.

  • Thank you for your wisdom and willingness to share it.

  • Thanks Wayne! I like that you are very generous with your advice and experiences. After watching this, despite I do not plan to make money from make-up, nonetheless, it was inspirational. Gives me a mood lift knowing there are still people out there who are kind and willing to share. Bless you!

  • such awesome advise, love it

  • your advice are all true... thanks for sharing those to us.. God bless you always! :)

  • awosome.....great advice..thank u mr Wayne...^^

  • Thank you for your advice. i subscribed:)

  • You look really really good. You know how to rock facial hair and you look really clean :) Good info.

  • I appreciate your videos and info so much~ I have learned a lot from them~ KUDOS ! ! ! :)))

  • your basically my holy grail guru, i always look for your videos when i want the truth and the best advice, thanks :)

  • I totally agree about the hard sell. As a consumer I'll buy more product if you leave me alone to peruse the makeup on my own. If I have a question I'll ask. I miss my EL girl I only buy EL from her because she gives me samples and does not do any hard sells.

  • Hello Wayne , this is the first time I left u a comment! I spent my 20's in a different field and I switched to beauty as I entered my 30's. It is scary to do something different! Watching your videos are so inspiring and informative thank you so much!

  • I really appreciate your words, and help. I am a very recent make up convert, i have just become completely obsessed. As i am trying to be an actress, i am also trying to do something in the make up world. And your advice has been very helpful to me. Thanks Very much! I will be keeping up with your channel! :)

  • I heart you and iam 21 years old and would love to be a make up artist and you are amazing. ! xx

  • Wayne - Thank you. I respect you so much.

  • You are so awesome....thank you for taking care of women who are no longer in their 20's. Even on YT we feel left out! hugs

  • hii can you make a video on what you keep in your training case for bridal makeup and which products are important thank you

  • Thanks for your vids - they are FAB!!! Is ther any chance you could show how to cover vitiligo using airbrushing. I haven't found anything on utube. Thanx

  • I'm so glad I found your channel. You're absolutely amazing and your advice is really helpful and encouraging. I subscribed immediately :-)

  • U r a big sweetie!

  • Can you do a house/room tour? Not to sound creepy or anything lol but would be cool!

  • Thank you for your videos! I love makeup but I'm not good enough to pursue a career in it. Watching your videos is so fun and educational; we all appreciate them!

  • Ughhh, I wish you could do my makeup and I could be your apprentice. I'd be set for life.

  • Wow, I was going in the fitness and nutrition direction too. Now I am headed back (makeup being a passion since 14) (26 now) Never had a mother who taught me how to do makeup. Self taught, experimented on myself, friends..this video is just amazing. I live in Montana and there are no schools for makeup here, no demand for makeup artists. I don't have the high end products, all the tools and brushes I'd like, but I save up for the must haves...you are truly TRULY inspiring me. I really want to

  • @AnubisHalo CONT: make this happen. Just trying to get started and feeling a bit lost and confused. There are so many girls on youtube that have gobs of makeup and all the tools and money is no object it would seem. They have training, etc...Anyway, thank you for the advice ;) Send me some tips if you have time.

  • This was reallly interesting, thanks. I am a complete amateur, no training at all, & up to last year had never done anyone's makeup but my own. My sister-in-law to be asked me to do her makeup for her wedding. I was terrified. I took my entire kit along to hers & did a trial & she loved it. I did it on the day & she was very happy and I got lots of compliments but I felt very unsure about my technique. I need more practice, doing someone else's make up is very different from doing your own.

  • Hi Wayne. Im starting to do weddings. What foundation would you recommend? Also, will you please do a wedding tutorial? For the bridal parties, do you also use waterproof makeup? Thanks. By the way, you are such an angel. Very honest. Thanks again.

  • I love, love, love you videos! you give the best, honest, down to earth advise.

    much love

    xoxo

  • excusme but you are so hansome:)

  • I agree that you need to put out a book, even if it's an ebook or a DVD. I love that you specialize in the older women. God knows we need it! I would love to see more tutorials with older women as your models.

    ~elaine~

  • I've just subscribe your channel. Your tutrorials are very helpful and this one was really interesting for me because I would like to start being a make up artist but I don't know what should I do (apart exercices everyday :) Thank you! have a nice day! :*

  • thats why i looove watching ur videos thanks soo much!

  • Thank you so much for your honesty. I've just come from work (I wait tables in NYC) and I often watch a video or 2 of yours before I go to sleep. This video in particular has given me such courage to not fear my small beginnings as a make up artist! I can't afford school at the moment and soaking up all that I can from practice and YouTube videos. Your time and efforts to educate are MUCH appreciated.

  • Soooo helpful!! Thank you!!!! X

  • whats a hard sell?

  • i just love your enthusiasm Wayne, and how encouraging you are, especially when you share about the honest approach to service people. i am 56 and own my own business (nothing to do with makeup) but you remind me of myself in my early days. i always shared every tip of my trade to anyone who asked and never felt threatened by doing so. You seem to have an old soul. keep up the great videos

  • @suaco954

Nice gurl if u want add me on yahoo my username is pinkjavu08 :D

BTW I gotta agree cosmetics can be insanely overpriced. did you know MAC is giving out a bunch of free gift certificates??

I saw that they just recently shared this link only with their facebook fans on monday, you can get one here.

Also, you have to use the coupon password MAC on page 2 of the sign up process :P

  • hello i really like you videos you are a very good makeup artist!where you done your qualification?

    xx

  • Very helpful. I like the way you thinking about the job of make-up artists. Maybe i also wane become en make-up artist. Thank you for all your tips.

  • Oh my gosh, you just seem so knowlegeable about every medium of makeup! I wish u could fly over here and do my wedding makeup! Wonderful video!

  • Very encouraging...even to me as a working Makeup Artist these were excellent reminders for me and my focus for the new year.

  • Over the past year I've really started thinking I want to go into makeup, but I didn't know how to get started or what I could really do with it. This has given me a lot to think about. So thanks SO much for this! :D -favorites-

  • I love you , u r my life saver!

  • You are an inspiration! Thank you for your time and devotion to make up.... I love watching you it's like having my personal makeup guru!

  • whats a bloke?

  • you are ,actually, very likable. :)

  • It's about time someone thought of us more mature women out here. Thank you and I must add...you sure are a looker love... *)

  • I have a question are you a hairstylist also or just do Makeup I have found to strickly do makeup is very hard because many people look for the 2in1 thing hair and makeup vs having to look for two people to do each, what is your opinion on that!

  • you are absolutely AMAZING!!!! this advice is worth more than gold. God bless you continuously for sharing it with us...LOVE YOU!! xoxo

  • YOU ARE JUST TO GOOD...LOVE YOU

  • Goss, i jus found your channel from an iphone app today and I LOVE YOU! thanks so much for your videos!

  • i wish makeup artist school was that cheap in the united states

  • Thanks Goss for you video. I have been doing bridal makeup but felt I needed to do editorial to become a better make-up artist, but I feel like I am spreading myself too thin and not getting any better in my skills. I am self taught. Thanks so much for your advice.I will look again at what I want to do and then promote it.x

  • Thanks for the advice, Wayne. It's great that you're doing so well in a job that you love. Over here in Malaysia, it's a huge advantage for make-up artists to know how to do hair which is something I simply can't get the hang of. I haven't been to school for makeup and I've considered going to school for hair but it's just too expensive. I like your idea about doing some sort of a makeup seminar as a corporate team building activity but I'd have to come up with a convincing enough proposal.

  • Wayne l love you..lol you are amazing. I agree with the other viewers you need to have a piece in a magazine or do a beginner's to advance makeup manual. I know I would buy it:)

  • Thank you, Wayne Being a 35yr old woman,I know that we are overlooked in the "make up" market arena. I find at this age what is being more pushed is all the skin care and "anti aging" products but there is really not much out there for make up technique and application as our skin and face transition. It is very evident at most make up counters where the artists are generally more skilled at application for the 20's n younger crowd. This is where we need u Wayne, be our pioneer PUT OUT A BOOK!

  • This really opened my eyes when you said it's better to be good at a couple of things than ok at everything. I know exactly what you mean and you're totally right. I've been thinking for ages that I would have to be good at every single kind of make-up possible to be able to be regarded as a real make-up artist. But you can specialise in one area or another and be really good at that instead :)

    Thanks Wayne!

  • Hi Goss I only found you channel today, and I'm amazed! it's nearly 1AM now and I can't stop watching you! (I know...I'm mad!). Great channel, I subscribed straight away, and will defo visit you again. xx

  • i am having a problem with the ashy look on black skin from my foundation do you have any tips and i have been in skin car for 6 years and i still dont know what to do it a person i do make up on with exstreamly dry skin . please help

  • totally agree with the above. The woman who did my SIL's make up works on one of the make-up counters in Debenhams and she did a fantastic job

  • I love all of your advice... what are your holy grail products to keep in your Wedding MUA kit?

  • Interesting. I have a similar nitch and we are cross country from eachother. :-)

  • hi it wud mean d world to me if u visited my channel

    xoxo Jay

  • So true about the selling thing, I work in cosmetic retail & its all about personality & never about pushing the sale.

  • I was Self tought as well I love your videos and your super cute

  • Thanks for the great advice, can you do some wedding makeup tutorials? Much love xoxo

  • Thanks yet again for such great advice... Much love and respect always!

  • exactly what i needed to hear today.thank ya!

  • I absolutely love your look in this video. Very attractive mate.

  • thanks

  • what does " cheeky " mean?

  • I agree with you Wayne, I hate hard selling it puts me off...that's probaby why I only have 1 Bobbi Brown item in my make up kit. Also in stores 6/10 I will go to a male make artist or I'll ask the make up artist who did their make up today and then I'll ask advice from that artist. Also Wayne I think you had a lot of women coming back because you're handsome. What's outstanding is that you are well mannered...and looking cute is a bonus! Keep up the good work!

  • Wadpdious- leave him alone. He's giving his opinion and has the right to say what he wants- it's HIS video and he's telling about his experience as a male mua. If you don't like it, then unsubscribe but Wayne does not need you lecturing him on sexual stereotypes.

  • Wayne, you are such a beautiful "bloke"- inside and out. It's so nice of you to share all of this information. I would definitely trust you to do my makeup on one of my most important days of my life. Have you ever thought of writing a book with all this information??? If not, you should.

  • This video was absolutely awesome, thank you! It was exactly what I was looking for. I just have one question. Do you have any recommendations for resources that would help someone who's trying to teach themselves? I bought a book and almost bought another one, but they weren't that great and I don't feel like I learned what I needed to from them (you actually did a review on one of them I believe) but I'm having a hard time finding ways to teach myself more about makeup.

  • I absolutely love this video. I am just starting out myself in the makeup artistry field. Teaching myself everything I can, going to trade shows, and asking questions of artists whenever I can find them. Thanks.

  • you look nice :)

  • another amazing video. Thank you for all you do!

  • Thanks for the advices Gourgeus! Happy Holidays =)

  • Wayne, you are such a treasure. Don't ever stop making videos for us & teaching us. Hope you have the merriest of Christmases! Wish I could have you do my face! Love, Becky

  • you're so hot *-*

  • Hi Wayne!

As i am now trying to start as a make up artist I found this video really useful ;)

I love to hear your opinions!

  • You are a true guru, you always have something informative to share <3

  • I wish you could do my makeup :) How can we book? ;)

Also, its so nice to hear someone talking bout 30s, 40s, 50s, etc... I mean, its so much fun watching how to apply electric blue with pink shimmer and yellow eyeliner but its not really usefull... I am in my late 20s, I want someone to understand what do I really need and what are my issues... And I am looking forward to my 40s and 50s and all life, but I hope I will have all the makeup knowhow to make me happy with myself ;)

    Kisssssssss

  • I am so glad you put out this video. Lately, I have been really discouraged about being a makeup artist. I don't have very many friends, and the ones I do have are always too busy to let me do their makeup for free.
