  • awesome weapon leave it to the Germans to fix Americas problem with jammed weapon systems,Stoner had an awesome rifle in the M16 but this fix with a piston driving the bolt instead of gas tube if thought of sooner could have saved many lives on the battle field.

  • Sweet! All you need now is a eotech sight, laser, foregrip, & a masterkey underneath! ( my preference over a granade launcher )

  • @jeremihraiden christ, you mall ninja gun ricers all think alike

  • Did anyone hear a meowwww at 3:03?

  • the one piece heat shield is nice touch, not like the original M16/M4 two piece piece-of-shit heat shields. where if the weapon were to be dropped after been leaned against a wall or what not, they would just come flying off and it would be a serious pain in the ass to put them back in because of the ridiculously heavy (but not heavy enough apparently) locking spring.

  • i want one of these :( wonder if you could buy one in the uk? it would be cool to take it to a range with some of my buddys and there scoped rifles. single shot rifles suck over here

  • @TheFreeridemanic Good luck. It's hard enough to get one in the US. I had to pay, well too much for the upper and buffer upgrade. I also blew alot on the automatic M16 just for the lower. Than I had to get a buffer tube and stock. The MR556 is a semiauto version but I have no clue about the UK. The upper on the MR is non compatable, though.

  • Us rifle?? BAH, this is used by the whole Norwegian Army!

  • @heilaff It was desighned by Delta force and Germany for the Delta force. It was adopted by the USMC as the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle [IAR] as well as Delta, Navy SEALs, English SAS, Australian Spec force, France, and several others. Did norway have anything to do with its creation or the M4, no. They butted in and dont even apreciate the weapons engineering, so screw off with the Norway's rifle crap.

  • @chrisknife1 Now you listen here. It was a IMPROVEMENT from the Us rifle M4/m16 beacuse it was so shity (American). I never said it was a Norwegian rilfe, you got to leanr how to read, you narrow minded redneck! It is use as a standard rifle for the Norwegian Army, and other countries only use it for Special ops... It was mad BY H&K for SALE, This is NOT a American rifle.

  • @heilaff What part of desighned by US Delta forces and Heckler and Koch did you not understand. It was desighned to be used by Delta and SEALs. No offense but there are probably more SEALs, Delta, and Army support gunners than soldiers in the Norweigian army. I respect you and your country but no this was desighned for the USA with help from the USA. The M4/M16 series was decent but for SEALs and Delta it proved less than capable. The M4 has also been adopted by many countrys but was not made

  • @chrisknife1 Ok, thank you. But, if you look at my first comment, you will see that i never said that the Hk416 was Norwegian or Made for Norway.

  • @heilaff Oh sorry, from what you and the guy before you said it seemed like you were trying to say it was. I've actuily talked with other Norwegians and it seems like you definetly know how to run an army. If our army wasnt so big and we werent falling apart I'm sure we would have too. Instead we're having a contest between this the SCAR and the ACR and XCR. Even then well probably going to keep the M4.

  • @chrisknife1 Yeah... The Norwegian army is small.. We have about 280 soldiers in Afganistan, and about 7000 reserves, so we did not have to buy to many rifles :)

  • @heilaff But we make up for that with our specialforces MJK and FSK/HJK. Ain't no better!

  • @heilaff for them. Look at history not just who adopted what.

  • @heilaff no it is NOT! get ur facts right. this rifle is not used by the Royal Guard, which service the G3 or AG3 as we call it

  • @mixdur123 Well, that's the Royal Guards, When i say army i mean standard issue Infantry. Not some fancy lols with fethers sticking out of they 10 inch hats!

  • @heilaff the royal guard actually got their own infantry unit

  • @mixdur123 Yes? So i was rigth. They are not ''Standard issue Infantry'' Like the Norwegian Amry, they are the royal guards (Yes, a part of the army, but you get my point)

  • @mixdur123 Wrong! the Royal Guard use hk 416.

  • This is rifle is the new standard rifle for the Norwegian army:) Go U.S & Norway!

  • What's the website for the magazine in the video?

  • @IIDASHII

you are completely wrong.. don't offer advice if you don't know

  • @GunWebsites that guy had no idea. so could you please tell me how this gun is fully automatic and in the U.S.? i know it was made after 1986. i only ask because i live in the U.S. and i would like to take the necessary steps to obtain a rifle that is full auto. also if i'm going to spend that kind of money on something then i want whatever i want. i think this should be something you make a video on because it seems a lot of people like to give out wrong answers concerning title 2 firearms.

  • @1979aerocaprice

owned by a manufacturer / importer for military / LEO demos, not something an individual is able to do

  • @GunWebsites thank you for the response. i still think you should do a video explaining everything. everyone throws around those words "class 3" even though it means nothing to an individual

  • @1979aerocaprice

    we have, do a search

  • @1979aerocaprice just go to a class 3 dealer after you find the full auto you want to buy and they can transfer it for you for a fee, civilians dont need a class 3 to own a full auto weapon just a clear back ground check no felonys, and usually a 200$ tax plus the cost of the gun

  • @justinRkeaton

Thanks, that is one of the best, most concise, run downs of the situation, well said

  • I have just one thing to complain about the rifle.

I'm now serving my time in the norwegian armed forces and I have this rifle as aprimary weapon. Yeah, yeah it is a good rifle and all that but with a small hatch. when we first got them was all of them bran new stright from HK. thats good but after a few weeks in the field has already the paint started to fall appart and the rust had started a full invation of the rifle. even when we had cleaned it well did the rust still come back.

  • Is this gun fully automatic? if so can you please tell me how that is legal? i dont understand how someone can have this with the law about pre 1986 conversions?

  • eem if by over the beach you mean that can go in water and still shoot is yes it can the is the test video i found

  • eemh by `` over the beach`` you mean that can go in water its yes i have see this gun in action in water in a video

  • May I ask how long is that suppressor ?

  • @92thehund

    no

  • @92thehund Nah, it's 5.56mm. Or theres a 7.62mm called the HK 417. They're both just an outgrowth of the discontinued XM8 program. Only difference between this and an M16, is the upper receiver. It has a piston opperated action instead of a gas powered action. Which makes it easier to clean, and less prone to error.

  • @92thehund u dumb?

  • @TheBueno789 yeap. 416 223, 417 308

  • The only part you need to lubricate is the piston? That is completely the opposite of what they thought us in the military. They pretty much told us to lubricate the entire weapon, except for the piston system. Now this is more af a rant toward the military then you, since i have allways been in favor of lubricating it myself.

Also this is a great weapon, but it is far from suitable for the arctic environment. As it has a tendency for condensation to gather inside the weapon and freeze it.

  • Used this weapon in the army, loved it! This video makes me wanna go back in :)

  • @HaugMedia What was your MOS? Just curious if I am going to get a chance to get my hands on one. lol

  • @DropC09 I don't know about the US, but in Norway the 416 is standard. Everybody gets one over here :) I also used the 417, which is equally awesome :D Both functions well in cold weather (-30C) and in any other condition, easy to clean and maintain, just don't mount any optics on the front part of the picatinny, bad move. And plastic parts are a bit fragile, I had many small pieces falling of now and then in CQB because I used it as a sledgehammer. But anyhow great weapon. I'm going back in! :D

  • thanks for the video its great.. do you know a shop where I can buy that weapon? :)

  • This gun looks extremely solid. Not that I can really tell without holding it myself but the build quality looks great.

  • The founders of Hecklar and Coch must have had big ones.

  • It has been adopted by the USMC designated the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle

  • It is an AR variant hence the designation "416". That was not a mere happenstance as much as many US haters would like to think otherwise.

  • HK416 is the best.

  • I just found my new favorite weapon. where in Ca can I get one?

  • Haha the Germans made The AMericans weapon better XD

  • @MjrDario Or just took designs from other AR-# weapons such as the ar10 and ar18

  • @BlackOut5n still the Americans had a chance to do it bt they didn't. And they seemed retty happy that H&K did it for them when I saw the documentary.

  • @MjrDario yup it was a request by delta force but other countries finally saw what the m4 could be

  • @BlackOut5n you mean... what the M16 could be :P

    M4 is still shit

  • @MjrDario not really the hk416 is basically an updated m4

:P and personally the m4 is the shit you think it is

  • How many different mm`s will fit for this gun?

  • @othik 4 maybe 5

  • We got all the killers & retards from the Europe & thats why the us is fucked up.

  • @ivedigga That's a very intelligent comment.

  • @ivedigga lol... at least germany isn't that prude like the usa. everything is censored in america. even tits and asses :D loooooool what a fail

  • @NONAMEWTF your right this place is fucked up, like i said full retards

  • @NONAMEWTF Yeah cause children don't need to learn about sex and private parts til their old enough, fucking moron.

  • What's the accuracy like on this compared to an L85A2 or M16?

This thing looks beautiful and im impressed by it's components. I'd really love to own one of these :(

  • seriosly he does

  • my dad has one of those ha ha

  • @stuntmanmike37 you don't know shit about germany and our culture. do you have a culture? 400 years... wow! theres so much going wrong in the usa that germany hasnt. serial killers, people who killing others in schools. that happened here too but where did the trend come from? usa! who starts wars in vietnam, iraq, afghanistan, somalia etc.? germany is one of the countries where fascism does not really exists, human rights are important, joblessness is very low and a very good health care system

  • @NONAMEWTF your right we got all the retards from the Europe & thats why the us is fucked up.

  • @NONAMEWTF cause we have the autobahn and we are allowed to drive at lightspeed muahahahaa and you dont.

  • @stuntmanmike37 Of the free? did you know Germany has about 30 Murders a year? How much has the USA? Think about it. There was a bad time goin on in 1939 to 1945. The "Hakenkreuz" symbol was used by Hitler and the NSDAP - Nationale Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. They murdered over 6 Million Jews, handicapped, children, gays and other people cause they thought they arent worth living. and now tell me, why anyone should wear such a symbol and tell me where german people arent free.

  • @NONAMEWTF Why does it cost over a thousand dollars and takes months to get a driver's license in Germany? What the hell is that?

  • @stuntmanmike37 it costs about 2000 dollars and takes about 2 months or in a holiday school it takes about 3 weeks. thats because security is essential. there are many teenagers who drink and drive or just drive too fast. you have to learn driving first. we also have the "tüv" where every car is checked every 2 years. sometimes the regulations are a bit excessive but it's only for the safety.

  • @NONAMEWTF As for safety, when does it end? The government can always argue for more restrictions in the name of "safety." And stupid people will vote for it and unknowingly give up more and more rights until they have nothing left.

  • And we are free to display any image, any symbol, speak any idea. The only thing we are not free to do is deny each other of our God given rights.

  • is it only too me, or really hk 416 barrel is slightly heavier than M4 ? :D look on it since 2:00

  • very similar to many other H&K weapons - i recognize many parts from my time in the german army g-36 is almost the same except some minor details. The older, but imo one of the best assault rifles of all times, the "H&K G-3" is not that similar. But hey who cares, i'm proud to be a german i love our cars, beer and ofc our weapons - pretty expensive but mostly the best you can get for money!

  • heckler and "cock"

  • @truthluka Wrong.

  • @truthluka

    I disagree

  • I wish this gun wasn't so damn fucking expensive! Even the uppers are like 4000! WTF?!? Why are guns so fucking expensive! I hate you Obama!

  • damn what a nice looking gun

  • you can buy such a gun in the us without a license? thats fuckin crazy.. no wonder so much people get killed there. i am from germany.

  • @NONAMEWTF

Then that must be why you are so wrong.

Almost no one is hurt or killed by this style firearm.

Perhaps you should not get your knowledge from movies .. you do know movies are fiction?

  • @GunWebsites I think his point is that the fact that firearms in general are so available to the public is why there is so much gun crime.

To me, it doesn't make sense that people are allowed them. The only reason I would think for someone to own one is for sport or target shooting and if you're serious about that you could go to the trouble of getting a license.

  • @GunWebsites

Fact is that it is something special and unusual if somebody gets shot with a gun in germany due to the fact that our gun regulations are extremely strict...

but you are correct, most homicides are done with handguns...

  • @Ryloth123321

yea, germany has a long history of non-violence right?

  • @GunWebsites Right, and your precious US and A doesn't? perhaps I've been cheated for all these years but aren't you guys fighting two wars atm, I take that for non-violence.

  • @separi133

violence is starting the fight.. defending yourself is another thing.. who started WWI and WWII ??

  • @GunWebsites austria WWI and germany (austria) WWII

  • @GunWebsites Wasnt WWI started by the secret alliances all coming to a point after the assassination of Ferdinand II. And I think WWII was started by the unfair 'treaty' of Versailles, don't you? Seems very unfair to try to blame both world wars on Germany, isn't it? Not sure if you are, but it seems a lot of people do.

  • @GunWebsites Serbia started WWI with the assassination of arch duke Franz Ferdinand. Austria-Hungary declaires war with Serbia. Russia mobilizes troops to aid Serbia. Germany declares war with Russia because of the Germany Austria-Hungary treaty. Russia had a treaty with France, France declares war with Germany. France and Britian had a treaty, and Britian declares war with Germany. And the U.S favored the Allied force because of our British history. Thank you tax payers for my education.

  • @myfinalcrusade false america was on the allies side because of the naval british blockade, we provided equitment of food and arms; then a german u-boat sunk the lusitinia.

  • @myfinalcrusade our british history is shitty the tried to opress us.

thank you fax mayor foughters for my eduermacationers?

  • @myfinalcrusade Serbia didn't start WWI you stupid asshole! So much for your knowledge of history,if that shit you were thought can even be considered as history.

  • @myfinalcrusade Actually Britain entered the war because Germany invaded France through Belgium and Britain had an old treaty with Belgium

  • @myfinalcrusade well said dude an all true

  • @Ryloth123321 What about stabbings, and crime in general? Germany, France and UK lead developed nations as far as crime in general is concerned. But crime which is virtually nonexistent in Switzerland because all men are required to own a full-auto sig-556. In neighboring France though (where gun control is strict), 5 guys will rape a girl in a train with everybody watching and not give a shit. Just try doing that in Texas :)

  • @hondacivic1992 I don't know what you shit you've smoked dude but as far as statistics of homocides with guns the USA has 3.45 per 100,000 capita Germany 0.19. And texas isn't getting that average down with one of 4.0 per 100,000 capita and i don't believe people in Texas kill 949 rapists in 2006. You can interpret much out of a countries crime rate don't just look at it to prove your own point ;D

  • @AchmedundHassan You're talking about homicides involving firearms. But I am talking about violent crime in general, and if you take that into account, Europe has more crime than USA. Apart from that, most "gun violence" in the USA occurs in areas where there are strict firearms restrictions suck as New York or Chicago. Of the 40+ states that legalized Conceal carry of handguns, all have seen a decrease in crime. In fact, Americans use firearms 2,000,000 times a year in self-defense.

  • @NONAMEWTF It's also why we will never be invaded....unlike Germany.

  • @NONAMEWTF well did you see how many people had ben killed thare, how didn't have guns

  • @NONAMEWTF we have a fairly low death rate due to fire arms. The simple fact is In America where guns are prohibited the "gun' death rate is actually much higher than where people that can own guns legally. The saying is true, When a man can defend himself with deadly force the odds that he will have to do so drop dramatically.

  • @NONAMEWTF sir you sound like national socialist circa 1935.

  • @NONAMEWTF *cough* 1939-1945 *cough* -.-

  • @bosaap10 Where it was the entire world vs Germany. BTW I never remember Holland doing anything

  • @snipski0894 oh no it was not russia japan and some more fags where on you guys side -.-

  • @bosaap10 Japan was fighting its own war and the SOVIET UNION not Russia was on the allies side. Gain some knowledge you ignorant idiot. Its a shame that such a stupid person can come from a country full of generally intelligent people.

  • @snipski0894 lol sure im stupit, look aturself you dumb dickhole

  • @bosaap10 *Stupid *at yourself

  • @snipski0894 grow up kid

  • @bosaap10 Says the guy who not only cant spell but also calls people a "dickhole". Maybe you should grow up.

  • @NONAMEWTF You can't buy such a gun. Not legally for Civilian use anyways, dipshit. You can buy the semi-automatic, and even then. The crime rate portion that's incorporated with these sort of rifles is VERY low.

  • @NONAMEWTF Do you even go by per capita? Few guns here are full auto, and it's not as easy to purchase a firearm as some people think. And have you heard of the Holocaust?

  • @NONAMEWTF No you can not purchase a weapon that is full auto without a license and purchasing a friearm in the US requires you to pass a background check and there are quite a few regulations involving assault rifles. Also people get killed by them because when you are cpable of getting a weapon to kill people you will use it and if we didnt have firearms then they would resort to other things. But as a whole 99 percent of gun owners within the US follow all laws and regulations.

  • @NONAMEWTF oh my god ! maybe thats why the most americans think that germans are kind of stupid! if you don't know something for sure just shut the f... up ^^

  • @NONAMEWTF more people die from knives , car accidents , tobacco than by guns lol i dont know where you got your statistics but theyre just ignorant

  • @NONAMEWTF

    They sell them at Wal-Mart(Fact).

  • It's gas operated not piston

  • @BryantBergemann Its piston operated dumb fuck

  • DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Whe

  • DUDE! Going into ROTC freshman year and couldn't be more excited about it. Fired the M4. Pretty sick gun, but the Army really needs to commit to phasing out the M16/M4 and replace it with this gun, ACR, or SCAR. We need a more modern, reliable, accurate, user-friendly weapon.

  • this weapon looks so fucking awesome

  • Would you say it's superior to the M4 Carbine?

  • @RhetoricalFilms9792 Its been submitted as a replacement to the colt M4 to the U.S. military standard rifle

  • germany yes we make the best weapons :-D

  • Sorry but I prefer REC7...

  • @MrOutgoinGuy It's a slow process because the U.S. has no money at the moment. Right now it mostly goes out to special forces that need them the most (SFOD-D, FBI SWAT, DEVGRU (lord knows they need it most) and most likely some green beret.) It would be godsend to replace the M16/M4/M249 SAW with it right now, but they don't have that kind of cash. And yes, they are seriously considering replacing the M249 SAW with an IAR version of the HK416 using drum clips.

  • @thecrowandthehawk It's already been fielded as an IAR replacement for the MARINES, thats it so far. You can see them popping up in Afghanistan in MEU and other USMC units. Don't know how good of an idea it is, since a majority of the M249's problems are that they keep those things in circulation for so long and just do rebuilds and upgrades, but since it's a stamped sheet metal receiver you can only rebuild it so many times before they simply need to be replaced! No belt feed, quick bbl swap...

  • @reeseman67 Fielded, but not replaced. And I think It's a great Idea considering the HK416 is lighter and can fire at the same rate as the m249SAW. Though If I'm correct, it was the Navy that was requesting the IAR and not the Marines. Of course, I'm sure both would enjoy the idea.

  • nice

  • good instructions..I would feel real good holding something that says HK on the side of it..nice weapon

  • @GunWebsites I dont got any fancy gun licens but I realy wanna buy that gun! How much would it cost and can I buy a semi-auto version without a licens? Another question: Does it shoot the standard nato round like the ar-15? Pls answer. Love your videos!

  • @Korvan1993

    no licenses for anything

    this uses 5.56x45

  • @GunWebsites how do you buy this gun in the U.S. w.o a license? I live in NYS, are the laws different state to state?

  • Comment removed

  • @maxcady5 Dude, you just go to the gun shop, buy the gun, fill out paper work, and wait 10 days (at least thats how it is here in Cali) and then you get your rifle. You don't need a license at all. I don't know the gun laws in NY but im sure you don't need a license to buy a rifle.

  • @MRcalibrecincuenta Lol, texas only waits 3 days :D

  • @GunWebsites

I thought you did need a license in the US. Except in Texas. oh well. you're the expert.

  • @Korvan1993 To buy this version you'd have to be over 21 and register it as an SBR.

  • whats ur favorite assualt rifle?

  • @labarctic

The aug platform, actually any bullpup platform, is uncomfortably small for my large frame. Even with M4s I came dangerously close to barrel burn on my hand. The M16 is my weapon of choice. I just really would love to have a piston driven weapon.

  • I would love to have one of those. Why must HK be so damn expensive?!

  • @wolf363 buy a steyr aug instead, go austria!

  • @wolf363 Because it's QUALITY! FUCK YEAH!

  • I cant wait to get one of these...

  • how expensive is the gun?

  • @levaslevas I know someone who picked the MR556 up for $2500, I'm pretty sure he had a discount though.

  • this gun is downright sexy with a silencer

  • H&K is a german company

  • So will the defense shoot and cycle submerged like the over the beach or do you have to buy a over the beach system

  • Where can you buy this weopon system?

  • No matter how nice any weapon could ever be, our contract with Colt will forever prevent us from switching out. Not to mention the logistical nightmare an entire inventory purge would be across all of USAF. If us regular army guys would ever see this weapon it would have to be due to a really really REALLY cool chain of command letting someone use their personal or theatre property to be swapped out for the duration of deployments.

  • this gun is beautiful, but its basically a modified m4, its a joint venture between u.s. and germany, to make a gun to replace the current m4. the basic design structure is an m4 with a few mods, and from my understanding, the only military thats gonna operate it is the u.s. army not even germany will get their hands on it, because this gun made by heckler and koch is made specially for the u.s. military.

  • @char1eston norway uses this weapon already so its not u.s. only

  • @komlaa85 It was invented in Germany, as Heckler and Koch is a German brand. It's pretty much sold to NATO universally, but the U.S. is the biggest buyer seeing as they most likely have the largest amount of Special Force teams in NATO. It's going to replace all models of M4 if we come up the money to buy it.

  • @thecrowandthehawk It is some thing the US is thinking of buying but it has some competition.

The SCAR is beating the 416 but the XM8 and the ACR are the two best. The problem with those two are the prices. The SCAR and the 416 are around the same price but the SCAR seems to have the envy of the US marines. I asked a few and they love the SCAR.

  • @thecrowandthehawk i know, but to me it seems like the rest here thinks the hk416 is US only, hence the comment to @char1eston. And btw. the weapon system is not special forces only, atleast not in here in Norway. All of the norwegian armed forces, more or less now uses the hk416. Some still might have the old AG-3 but they are phasing it out for everyone. Kinda miss the old canon tho :p

  • @komlaa85 Well that's because Char1eston is a complete idiot, as are most the rest who think this was designed for the U.S. If you want to get in to the specifics, the HK 416/17 was designed to be sold to NATO universally to boost their already thriving economy, since jamming, weight, firepower ect. has always been a bitch to balance correctly. Germany has always had the best firearms, or at least when it hasn't been taken over. And in the U.S. it is SFs only, because of our economy.

  • @char1eston The rifle was actually made specifically for Delta Force and Larry Vickers helped with it I believe.

  • Dear Santa....

  • @razv21able Havent seen that in the top comments in any video

  • i want it !!!

  • @Roxas2D if it did, it would be much reliable and much superior in terms in usage as the Armed forces do with the M4, if they did have this replace their M4 and M16A2s then SIGN ME UP! lol

  • Nice video.

  • I noticed so far that the primary difference between Colt's AR-15/M-16 and H&K's 416/17 is that the 416 is a piston system while your standard M-16/M-4 is a gas impengement system.

  • Designed and constructed in GERMANY muhahaha

  • @Matzzze1934

    like all good weapons! ;D

  • @Matzzze1934 all good weapons are from germany^^
