@lorenzob123 The reason that they didn't come up with another character for Eric S is because when he came back to the band, after Peters second time leaving, KISS still had a lot of contracts to play as "The Original Characters" and if they had shown up with different they would have be sued.

Eric Singer has a great voice and is a phenomenal artist, but hearing him sing Beth isn't really listening to Kiss do the song IMO. Rather, it's like watching a part of Kiss backing him up while he sings Beth. If I'm going to listen to VH sing Panama, I want Diamond Dave on vocals. If I'm listening to Journey, I want to hear Perry on lead. And if I'm listening to Beth, it's Peter I want behind the Mike. Take them out of their songs and it's just another cover.
