Hi. The lasercut version modules are called Y1 modules. You can find the link in Thingiverse (Youtube does not allow me to put URLs in the comments). You also can find them by typing y1 modules in google. The first link (modulos Y1) is where you can find all the information (in Spanish).
Hi ,your project is very cool, The dificult part is to have access to an extruder . Is it possible to make it usin regular sheet of plastic or cardboard ?
Yes, You do not need a 3D printer to build this kind of robots. The first version (Y1 modules) were done using a lasercut machine. The material is plastic 3mm. All the information is available, but it is Spanish. I am working on translating it into English
Yes. You are right. Now that I can print my own 3D-objects, it is a very good idea to print off some special modules for the head and tail. I will write it down on my todo list ;-)
Great application of the Makerbot!!! I just got mine today and look forward to making things like this in the future. Keep posting.

All you need to do now is design and print off head and tail modules to hold the power and processing.
Nicely done!
