I wish to thank everyone for the compliments! I hope that everyone watching this clip is aware of the current situation of the Spoon-billed Sandpiper.
This species is undoubtedly one of the greats. Loved the footage but for me it is tinged with great sadness. I really hope we can hang on to this little beauty. FXM

Thanks for the video. This bird is great. In Latvia it is possible to observe many of waders, but not this one.

Спасибо за видео. Красивый кулик, у нас в Латвии много разных можно увидеть, но таких не увидишь.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
a picture would have done the job. And your breathing is very annoying btw.

Superb footage. An interesting read here: "Hunting in Burma is probably the main cause of the decline of the Spoon-billed Sandpiper"
Google "Wader Study Group Bulletin 117 (2010)" for the pdf

Beautiful. Let's hope that their remaining wintering grounds in Asia wil be protected instead of destroyed as they did in Thailand.

Tragic and beautiful at the same time. I wish he could have found a mate. So sad. Great video!
