For all you jokers that say that it can't be done, think of the money we can make selling our extra electrical energy to the world, since most of the products that we produce can not be bought by most of the world, they cost too much. So why not export our extra energy! With Solar Satellites we will lead the world in energy. That is the reason we should do it!

The oil companies have to much money and power, I just dont see it happening in the USA. They will make sure the Republicans hold onto the White House therefore killing out any hope of a energy bill with some sense in it. It it does happen the oil companies will have control of it.

I'd like a statement about improving design around energy and materials efficiency. If we design cooperative, mature systems that reuse energy and materials flows, then we need less energy, making it easy to get our energy exclusively from the sun. But in any case, I like the commercial. Somehow I kind of wanted that tower of blocks to come tumbling down and reveal the Repower America blocks in a row, but I'm dramatic.

If you include the costs that get externalized onto the public health, pollution "cleanup" costs, & on future generations through the degradation of our environment, then solar, wind, and small scale biomass and hydropower are by far cheaper than all unsustainable energy sources (coal, oil, nuclear, natural gas). I'm on board. Just waiting for the ability to put solar panels on my roof. I'm sick to death of supporting Big Oil and their swath of global devastation. If I had the know-how to convert my car into an electric vehicle (and my house to solar) I'd do it in a heartbeat.  If you want to really make a change... teach us how to do this ourselves. You'd be amazed at how many electric cars - converted by their owners - would be driving on the streets of America today. Show us how to opt out NOW.

I just don't get it. You send me an e-mail asking for money to play this commercial. If you need to repower, like the commercial says, just do it already. Put your millions towards the repowering effort, not a PR campaign. Give out $5,000 coupons for solar panels or something real. I doubt 'big oil' will be able to block that. "If YOU need to repower" ? - No WE need to repower. And the we campaign needs 80K to put the ad up.

The oil industry has billions of dollars, and they spend millions of it blocking clean energy bills through the government. This is a message for the people to get people to change our government.

The government is FOR the people BY the people. But right now it's FOR the people, BY the people who are BACKED by the oil industry.

Right. Giving out $5,000 dollar coupons for solar panels may be a good idea, but to do that for millions of people? The we campaign doesn't have that kind of money. Only huge corporations (what are the odds of them doing that?) and government can do that.

What the we campaign CAN do is run ads, get people fired up, and then those people remind the politicians that no matter how much you get in campaign contributions, if nobody votes for you, you're out of a job.

There are a LOT of ignorant people in this country (the U.S.) so we can't just sit around and wait. Germany and is leaps and bounds ahead of us, so the potential has been there for years. There's a lot of people that need a kick in the ass and a slap across the face before they will even start to listening up. This is the kick in the ass for those. I too wish all the money raised in many campaigns were put to more direct use, but when people don't do their homework, we all lose.

Finally! I was hoping to see an advertisement that could counter the slew of "Clean Coal" and "LNG Now" advertisements I've seen on TV. Where are the rest of the environmental groups? I think that groups like the NRDC, Sierra Club, 1Sky, Environmental Defense Fund, and conservation groups around the globe should be pouring money into commercials to dispel the myth that coal is clean and that drilling here and now will solve our climate, energy, and economic crises. We don't have time for games.
