hohmann totally cowboys this whole rack, and the commentator is going along with it. 3 or 4 balls left on the table and the commentator says "still not sure what he's trying to so" and "your guess is as good as mine"? he says "smart move" at the end game??? it should never have had to come to that. where's siegel or diliberto to make some incisive comments on this rack.
i sense you obviously know the game. there are many ways to run a rack. by basically agreeing with hohmann's choices you're not giving anyone a well-rounded perspective of the rack, ie i think it would have been MORE beneficial if you were critical or been more "this is what i would have done". the point is, everyone plays a different game. just because hohmann wins all the 14.1 tournaments, he won't always have the absolute answer...in fact 14.1 is a game with NO absolutes.
Hey Blackjack, it's great to hear more of your commentary and annalisys on some straight pool runs :)
When Toastie made the 12 in the side, and then the 7 ball in the corner, I knew that he would leave the 1 as his BB, as I used to leave that break shot quite regularly when I started shooting straight pool as I always like to shoot a heavier stroke to open the stack on the break shot :)

If I was Sigel or Diliberto, then I would have the liberty of being incisive - plus - I'm about as good as you're going to get for the looking price.

@bertiejr Can't argue with results. Tough rack but he ran it. He is one of the best straight players today so....
