sorry for sloooow reply. YES ! I plug my laptop intp it and it "reads" the backup tracks' chords... it should also work if you plug a keyboard in.... IT'S GREAT !!!
Haven't tried the 4.... the 2 is wonderful... It gives 1 or 2 backup harmonies, always on pitch (even if my voice is slightly off). The 2 is also about $200 cheaper and VERY easy to use...

Can it be an extension to our pedals/stompboxes/effect processor etc? with distortion and all... or the guitar must be only plugged directly to it?
