@vallgron they are made tight fitting so that they show off the physique of the gymnast. the uniforms can get a little uncomfortable at times but nothing a bathroom break can't fix, plus you don't even notice them while you are going. unlike american football where they have gigantic shoulder pads to make the players seem bigger than they are. and don't anyone argue with me saying it is for protection rugby players get hit just as hard and they do it without pads.

It's really too bad that professional football players and baseball players get as much money as they do but gymnasts don't get as famous or get as much recognition. In 2005, there were 1,696 players in the NFL. I don't know how many senior elite gymnasts there are, but there certainly aren't that many. Football players don't hold a candle to the strength and body control of gymnasts.

i used to take gymnastics and a lot of people dont realize the amount of strength, focus, and determination this takes. in 2005 i was the second best gymnast in mens class 5. i took for 8 years and quit about 5 years ago bc it took up 40 hours a week and i couldnt focus on school and stay in gymnastics. this is a lifestyle... not a sport and although its fun to watch im glad im not in it anymore... too many sprains and rips for me
