I was pretty disappointed at the very end of the last episode. The manga has 107 chapters and the anime only has 13 episodes?! Why didn't they expand it? However it's a great anime for how short it is and I really do love it.
I love love LOVE. Elfen Lied. I could do without the nudity, but besides the fact of that. It has such a awesome groove to it. It makes you feel emotions you wouldn't think any other anime could. I also read the manga, and the ending is much more sad. I cried for the manga and anime. XD
I have a grousome trial for you, if you haven't already tried it, get Neon Genesis Evangelion, watch episodes 1-24, and then End of Evangelion (true ending).

@dicllonius1 Why would you say Lucy dies in the Anime but Nyu lives on then? Honestly, there was something I hated about the ending (least in the dub) where it just kinda ends. Couldnt of added an extra 5 seconds of animation. its like waiting for the Fireworks on some occasion, waiting all this time, seeing the fuse go to the fireworks then you dont get to see the Fireworks explode. Gun X Sword had a similar ending but at least you SAW Van. Gun X Sword is a good show btw, give it a watch.

@dicllonius1 I dont see how you could make a second series/season. It didnt really have any holes open for a second series. Personally, I like shows that know when their done, when I show gets to having 300 plus episodes, its hard to keep the show good *cough*pokemon*Cough*

@jawsTeh In the manga, Lucy literately melts and dies. In the Anime she has a horn nocked off, and because of that she is now Nyu forever, yet alive. Lucy is dead in both cases.
@lizzielautner101 She MELTS in the manga? how did that happen? and she had both horns knocked off in the anime, and, unless the dub changed something, Lucy nor Nyu was actually seen at the end. Lucy did go and fight the army, but after that, we just see her other horn get knocked off, so its possible either one could of been there. I think all that happened was Lucy couldnt use her vectors anymore cause she lost her Horns
She's melting in the manga, because she became too strong with her vectors and while using them her body couldn't stand it in the end. And in the manga, her horns start to grow again after a while (after they were broken off). You really should read the manga, it's even way better than the anime (and I do love the anime, too^^).
@jawsTeh In the show, at the very end it shows Nyu's silhouette in the door. Meaning she is alive, but Lucy has died because her horns were both lost. And Yes she melts and dies in Kota's arms in the manga.
I haven't watched this anime yet, but it sounds very good according to you guys. I might check it out later. But this songs shows me that it will be sad. The song creeps me out, but it is very nice.
