In temps that cold you need to use Energizer Lithium batteries. You will get about an hour of recording with those batteries because they don't suffer the same amount of voltage drop as NiMH rechargeables...
No LCD...it is too small. It's about the size of a box of wooden matches...just a big bigger. Then stick that in a polcarbonate waterproof housing for protection...viola.
My only complaint with this camera, and it might not even be real, is how dark the image is... looked like a sunny day. Why so dark? Otherwise, looks good for the frame rate and capture ability.
