Well if you do some digging we really are close to the Future depicted in the BTTF 2 movie. We already have prototype Holographic generators, we have flying personal vehicles (not cars, yet) but there very expensive, and we are doing reasearch into bio-implants and microscopic nanobots. So in 6 years we very well might be there.

If we look back at all the movies directors, actors and producers claimed would be their last film and take notice at how they're all eating their words today producing all new films of classic franchises like Rocky, Die Hard, Indiana Jones, Terminator etc... I personally think it may just as well be possible for BTTF Part 4, with possibly a new young cast with cameos of Chris Lloyd and Michael J. Fox who actually talked about a 4th film a few years ago. ;]

But you forgot to add that all the original stars of the current sequels for Terminator, Die Hard, Rocky, Rambo, and Indiana Jones all reprised their roles. Both Michael J. Fox and Chris Lloyd have not made any confirmation that they'd reprise their roles in a BTTF4. Even if it does include a young new cast, I don't know if it would do the other 3 films justice.

However, that episode was several years ago and Back to the Future Producer Bob Gale already said there were no current plans for another MJ Fox and CL collaboration, mainly BTTF.

im as big a BTTF fan as anyone but i dont think there should be another BTTF movie just for the fact that MJF would probably have a VERY limited role if any in the movie because of his health and a BTTF movie without MJF shouldnt be made. For those of you who dont know, Christopher Lloyd has a nephew Sam Lloyd, who portrays the lawyer on the TV show SCRUBS. Both Lloyd´s are great actors and hope they keep up the great work.

@redhouse1985 I hope you know the beard is fake. In 2010, Christopher Lloyd still looks the same as he did in the BTTF years of 1985 - 1992. Which is quite ironic, considering the prosthetic latex mask used in BTTF II, which did not alter his appearance at all; which means that in 2015, he will most likely look the same as he did in the 2015 from BTTF II.
