It'd be nice if they were along for this tour, this really is sheer brilliance! Ofcourse, thanks to my crappy karma I missed them and Amanda when they were all in Toronto last time in the early August. Ahh well, eyes and ears will be peeled
Ah Cananda! Aren't the lovely red haired sisters from Canada? Speaking of
Canada, do they still want people up there? We are seriously giving thought to relocating. We were considering Alaska, but after getting some picture of Sarah Palin, we are thinking twice. Canada looks better and better!!!
Canada is better, we have socialized health care. I cant speak for the rest of Canada, but I'd love to have you. Any Palmer fan (which I'm assuming you are) is a friend of mine...then again, as things stand our current Primeminister is basicly Bush's butt buddy. But anyways, come on up. I recommend living in Toronto, its my favourite city in the world, not that I've travelled. And no, the sisters are from the shores of California which may as well be part of Canada anyways from what I've heard.
I could swear I've read somewhere that the lovely the lovely ladies are originally from Canada. I have visited Toronto (many years ago). As I recall a beautiful area. I have also been further East, Montreal, Quebec, New Brunswick and PEI. All delightful. I wonder how a single mother of three teens and an RN, would fare North of the Border. It's not good here, not good at all. I fear for all the world right now. Particularly the frail, low income seniors and single mothers. It's pretty scary!
Fellow Torontonian Palmer fan here, filling in for the MIA Linn8379.
You would fare well! We have a HUGE shortage of medical professionals here, so you'd be well compensated, and our education system is far better, as is our support for single mothers, and of course: socialized health care!
Definitely do some serious research. Canada's a wonderful wonderful place to live and raise children. Toronto's a beautiful city with wonderful people.
I will be looking into this. I have no idea how to obtain my RN license in Canada. I am licensed here in Illinois, Wisconsin and some states that have a reciprocal relationship with the state. We visited Toronto when we were children and I recall liking it very much!!! I specialize in IV therapy. I would need to find a hospital or healthcare system that employs an IV team.
P.S. If you live near Wisconsin/Illinois Vermillion lies is going to be in Madison, Wisconsin this Saturday,August 23, at the Project Lodge. Tickets are only $6.00! Please come! It'll be fun! I promise!
They are awesome, my sister has never seen or heard of The Dresden Dolls, Amanda Ppalmer, or any of the performers. She enjoyed the whole show, but these lovely ladies were her favorites!!! :)

I will get the new Amanda Palmer CD on Christmas. Yeaaah! =)
But not the Vermillion Lies-CD... it's too expensive here in Germany =(
Schattenschleicher 2 years ago
How unfortunate! I wonder why it is so expensive there? They are delightful though, are they not?
dymphnasis 2 years ago
I don't know... I LOVE them. They are great ;-)
But no one in Germany knows Amanda Palmer or Vermillion Lies. It's a pity... There's no one who makes a music like that in Germany...

I think Kim Vermillion is living in Berlin now. Watch for her or follow her on myspace or twitter!
