The whole thing is about him, how he felt, how it affected him, and how he was really a good man who was going to get right with God now that he's imprisoned. It's like he was accepting an Oscar. Serial killers are celebreties because people have a grim fascination with them, but while their names are known, those of their victims are forgotten. Victim impact statements like these are a vivid reminder of those people and their loved ones.

Rader is banned from reading or seeing anything about his killings, also all these serial killers are locked in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day, most jail cells are decently small, but they still do get there meals. I dont think they should be able to watch tv or listen to the radio but most are granted that.

When he confessed, he told the police he already was planning on killing someone else and was planning to do so in October of 2005. What's the big deal about the stuff he did a long time ago? Are you on another planet? He KILLED TEN PEOPLE, people who did nothing to him. He took away people's parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Two of the people he killed were CHILDREN. He won't ever be released-deal with it!

I am more realistic when it comes to the death penalty. These types of people take others lives in a pre planned and methodical way. The victims suffer unimaginable horror in their last hours on earth. Add that to the fact that they can never be rehabilitated, it adds up to the fact that they are a burden on the taxpayer and do not deserve to live. This man does not deserve to live. He deserves the death penalty. The same one he pronounced on his victims.
