There is one particular highway in my area (The Palisades Interstate Parkway) that is often shrouded in fog.

It amazes me how fast people drive when they can't see that far ahead; they drive faster than they can see that much further ahead; that's a potential accident in the making.

Lately the weather in my community has been particularly fine, yet there are still accidents galore; I cannot understand how anyone can have an accident on dry roads in the daytime; you really have to be that incredibly idiotic and careless.

Many of these accidents were unavoidable; it's not the driver's fault that a sink hole just opens up under him.

However many other of these accidents depict what is clearly driver error and thus those were all avoidable.

Many years ago, in the US, there was this commercial for a BMW; it showed the driver making the most incredible errors but "getting out of them" was easy if you had such a car; my reaction was that not really good driver would ever allow himself to be in such situations.

f this, drive as hard as you want, I was doing 60 where 80 was allowed, and some asshole just crossed the road and braked in the middle, and I therefor totalled my car against his, and the insurance say although he should give way, its my fault because I hit HIM, well, I paid him a visit afterworts, lets say, I visitted his new car ;)
