This is one of my favourite anime and manga by Rumiko Takashi I am reading the manga and currently in chapter twenty one ! Rokumon really looks like the reincarnation of Shippo he's cute <3 ! And Tsubasa-kun looks a bit like Miroku EXEPT that he's not a PERVERT !!!

Sakura and Kagome are very similar, but Rinne and Inuyasha are pretty different. Rinne is nice (usually), tries to be non-violent, grateful, and really respect Sakura. Inuyasha on the other hand...well... do I even have to explain it?

@xbox360anime In Japan she sells more there than USA but she doesen't sell more than Rumiko. Rumiko sells the most as in female manga artist and because she's one of Japans top sellers she's the richest women in Japan and one of the top millioners in the world.

@xbox360anime Good point and yeah I think why most mangaka's are rich is because of their anime while very few are like little rich because of their anime. But also gotta remember that Rumiko has been doing weekly manga since she was 21 while Yuu Watase just started doing weekly not too long ago.

Why does every one love inuyasha so much? it was extremely repetitie, and used the same plots over and over and over again for 56 volumes. even the main story events tend to repeat themselves. Every single Rumiko Takahashi work except for inuyasha is awesome though. Everything from Mermaid Scar, to Urusei Yatsura, to Maison Ikkoku, to Ranma 1/2, to Rinne was awesome, but what the hell was so great about Inuyasha?

@HunterBernstein the plot was awesome, i mean especially the whole love story idea on how inuyasha could fall in love with his past love and her reincarnation. that made it really unique, and with the whole half demon/human thing was also a nice touch. i admit some episodes from the anime and some chapters from the manga were not quite that well thought of and yeah its kinda repetitive but dude, other than that INUYASHA IS AWESOME!!!! how can you not love it? :D

I like the characters a lot. Rinne and Sakura are much more low key compared to Takahashi's other characters~ It's really great not to see them at each-other's throats constantly.

I'll definitely watch the anime when it comes out, even if I can't guarantee that I'll follow it for a long time. I'm really no good with sticking to a series that will go on for who knows how long.

Y'know, Typically with RT and her many long multi-volume/ multi-year long projects the manga has to get a certain # of volumes before sunrise even thinks about making an anime. I would say we fans have to wait a minumun of 10 volumes, but considering it's getting closer to that I am going to wait until I buy Volume 15 before I start anticipating an anime, who knows I may have to wait for many years to pass, but I will keep my wits about me 'til Vol.15 before I get ansy.

in this video there is much similarity with Inuyasha, but if you read the manga is not as close so for me is quite different. The inuyasha is a guy arrogant way, as Ranma but the Rinne is so gentle ... is completely opposite! read the manga and and see how the Rinne has nothing to do with Inuyasha! Akane and Kagome also has nothing to do with Sakura, she's so quiet that you do not know that things are going on in her head, now Kagome and Akane are more nervous and jealous XD
