  • Instant torture, put someone in a chair with these and get a harness lock it on and get headphones for the ears. and also get a airbag suit and make em' vibrate!

  • BULL... I SIT BY D DOOR AND IF DAT WOULD HAVE WENT THRU MII BACK I WOULD HAVE 3 LAMBOS A BIG MANSION AND BOOTY ERRRWHERE

  • who says the driver and (especially) the passengers will be sitting upright as shown?

  • @luvgulf Benz F800-seat design, creating a Airbags Jump Belt seat OK.

  • hahahah.

  • I think bucket seats, four point harness did that cheaper, way better and long time ago :D Fail!

  • Dont like it. Different people are different hight, and size, so it mught just end up pushing their sholders or backs wrong.

  • i don't like those airbags. they might push your alarm and shoulder.

  • Lets just have foamed filled cars like in the movie Demolition Man and get it over with already.

  • Comment removed

  • If we are bigger then this model guy ... our shoulders would be destroy !

  • this is gay if your not in the middle of the seat it might break your arm I think what ford is doing with the taurus is better than this with sensors that tell if you getting to close to fast it will move the break pads closer to the roder so you can stop faster and the airbag seat belt is safer than this shit.

  • screw this they need airbags for you knees and legs

  • @enemay Coming up from the seat to grab a leg, put the red bars, Conflict not been pushed lower body (knee airbag role)

  • @enemay they already have thoes hyundai and i think lexus have kneww/leg airbags

  • @enemay lots of cars now come standard with knee airbags!

  • @enemay you have knee airbags in a lot of new cars.

  • Do not add these airbags if you get the Poor rated side impact, your legs will likely to get broken.

  • How that thing could work???

There are smaller/bigger and fatter/thinner persons with a lot of different body shapes....i dont think that could work...sorry

  • ok then ford just cam out with something like that becept the seatbelt inflates

  • @mavennes Airbag jump belt and Ford seatbelt inflates belt DIFFERENT !

  • DUDE LOOKED LIKE A LADY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great idea , the only flaw is that if its a larger driver, the airbag would push the occupant forward instead of restraining the occupant. Good try though !

  • aww lol free hugs XCDD

  • Great idea. It's a shame that the driver would surely become DEAF after those airbags explode right into his ears.

  • @ShizoluckyShizostar ^__^

    Do you know Advanced airbags!

Advanced airbags is very safety for human.

    Airbag during the evolving.

  • @ShizoluckyShizostar yeah but make them only go off in roll overs and in crashes were ur going fast cause would u rather be dead or deaf

  • nice idea!

  • Good idea. Just a modification for it. When you crash like this the internal collision of organs will probably be to much and cause death. If you modify it so that the belt slows you down gradually it will save more lives rather than take lives.

  • would this airbag know the body size of the driver?

  • cool....

sorry but i think it impossible=)

  • They have the head restraints in racing. Could your device accidentally cause whip lash if the drivers head was slightly out of position. I would suggest an air bag mainly inflating near the center of the torso. The constantly moving seat belts is a ton of wear and tear. I would have little movement on the device. Possible something similar to a infants lower buckle. Yet that would be annoying.

  • Who came up with this idea???...Who ever it is they are "guessing" about what it takes to use seatbelts & airbags to protect an occupant....HOw do I know this???...I share the US Patent for 4-Point, Inflatable Torso, Seatbelt Systems...it just amazes me some the moronic ideas that come out...don't belive me???...there is an Australian/Japanese patent which describes cutting out a notch in a sheepskin seat cover to redcue pressure on a mans "balls" while driving...

  • Yeah but once the belt deploys check this out the force of the impact and with the belt tighten around couldnt it choke you once the motion of the impact sends your body forward? But still a good idea!!

  • Think about protecting the neck and ears..head etc from the air bag...If that is tested could work

  • Looks like a good idea. Hope they put those it tractor trailers soon. I've seen alot of wrecks where a driver might have benefited from having that.

  • Tractor trailers , You are also a good idea @supershy13079

  • Ive seen similar things be4. I believe Ford is working on a seatbelt airbag. Yea, the seatbelt basically becomes the airbag which surrounds you and there were some other pros

  • I also noticed that you use the word evolving for your design. Evolving sounds great and all, but its still DESIGN. duh

  • Thanks to professional comment. @logicCplusplus

Airbags jump belt is designed to introduce a good fit, please

  • @saturnwing

Otherwise it is a great design. Hope you manage to get it into the market, good luck!

  • The only disadvantage I see is reaction time ie: timing and design. The driver will be offset to the seat and so if an accident occurs head on the airbag will initiate behind him. You have to show this works in a dynamic setting at increasing speeds, and find the breaking point for your design. Second problem, the airbag is exploding on someones back. The design is good in the sense its a one size fits all.

  • kewl

  • Thanx ^__^

  • wont this slow down the driver/passenger to quickly? it's not driving fast that kills people, it's slowing down really quickly.

Also I can imagine there'll be a problem with baby seats?

  • There are already bags coming out of the steering wheel and the side of the door (above & below). One issue is that there are drivers of all sizes. I'm 6-3 and my wife is 5-3. Would this bag protect both of us? If the bag will protect a very small person, it seems that someone with very wide shoulders would be forced forward by the deployment of the bag.

I'm not saying that this isn't a good idea. I'm sure that the minds at Mercedes-Benz have already thought of it and are trying it out.

  • Thank comments. @crimdell

The driver was too small representation of the spring belt are rising up to the neck is too short in the back side was represented.

Importantly, the belt by the air bag will pop out.

  • hmmm

    great idea

    but just wondering..

if the air bag stops the shoulders..wouldnt the neck get more damage?

  • @poplockkorea

    Do you know Advanced airbags?

    Airbag during the evolving.

  • Excellent ! ★★★★★

  • I think cars should just have swivel seats so when you hit something, it just swings you around like a Tilt-a-Whirl. :)

But seriously, I don't quite understand the concept of this air bag belt. Has any testing actually been done on it? Something inflating from behind just seems downright wrong, not to mention it would practically have to be tailor made to fit the driver. What happens if they hit something while reaching into the glove compartment or wiping their kid's mouth?

  • Great idea! ^_^

  • alot of people sit in the seat weird though.

also, if you know you're about to hit something you might raise your arms and lean back which would probably not be a good idea.

    just my thoughts.

  • i think this is a future

  • Awesome! I think this is a very promising direction and I hope that this can save many lives.

  • Thank you! @DeckerBens

    Хорошее время ^__^

  • I think the same of @eatmydust1311 If you're fat, or bad seated. And whats the point of this kind of airbag, to reduce impact where, if that's already covered by the frontal airbag. So... no, i think it's useless. Please, explain your point of view,

  • click more info

    Detailed description(examiner)

  • NHTSA will probably not approve it but it sound pretty good a but the safest alternative is not that! it is a 5 point harness built in to cars

  • Please click more info @d103cc --->

  • hmm, interesting concept....How do to it that it wraps around shoulder?

  • By the operation of airbags ...

Safety belt attached to the airbag will pop out under the seat comes.

  • that looks like it will save alot of lives.

  • Great idea. I hope this invention can work and save people!

  • I'm hoping it mandatory Toyota Car °o°

  • what if your fat? the airbag would blow your arms off and suffocate you at the same time

  • good idea yes, but i dont think its realizable!

  • SUPERGUT!

  • Спасибо.

    Лада автомобиль, пожалуйста, позвоните в

  • yes Not A bad idea, but need to prove its effectiveness ..

  • I would like to prove effective.

  • @zboss715, i consent. Interesting idea, but requires check

  • I think that's a good idea, work on!

  • there is no way that would engage fast enough at +100kph, even the regular airbags struggle

  • Frontal airbag + new Airbags jump belt = all shock-resistant and anti-eject

    (Use the existing front airbags)

  • Airbags are designed to ~..~; under the chin if you only as airbags jump belt.

  • I would like to see that engage on side impact

  • I also want to see him ~,.~

  • SUPER... That could protect my girlfriends implants perfectly. Can you have this installed in any car?

  • mmm.. need more research to actually proove this could actually work. having an computer animation doesnt solve or proove much except for what was thought of. try calling the experts for more information on gathering the data for proof. maybe you could make some money demonstrating that it actually exists and ta-da! you just made millions good luck!

  • Response THANK YOU

Indeed, the airbags work, I would like to make the jump belt.

However, my circumstances do not (no money)

    Asked Ford want to do it, somebody ~ ~;

  • what happened to the good old days of no seat belts and no one cared that they didn;t have seatbelts. Before the governments started mandating seatbelts and then seat belt use.

  • @DamnStraightM35A2 when people started dying lol

  • I guess, but why does the government have to mandate seat belts? Can't people decide for themselves?

  • nice idea

  • interesting

  • you know thats pretty cool.

  • no will not work

only people like austin WALKER will use that seat belt shit

    remember kids drugs not hugs

  • Great idea man!!! I think they have airbag seatbelts in the Lexus LF-A already but this is even better!

  • Different ♫

  • No niezłe ;)

  • what about the size of the occupant? concerns about suffocation or the air bag being in the right height position? my husband is 6ft 180lbs but I'm only 4ft9in, 96lbs and we both drive the same vehicle how would the airbags adjust to accommodate the difference in size for driver or passengers?

  • Both airbags belt in the driver's neck to waist belt connection, so you can be anyone.

    Video of the drivers was too small representation. ^_^;

  • it's very good idea .

  • very nice

  • Horrible idea, The impact of the Car would make you go front to the wheel, And this won't come out in time

  • 5★ ^_^

  • A terrible idea IMO. What happens if the "airbag" is triggered during a roll? Yes, it will protect you from sideways motion...but in that situation the roof will collapse under the cars weight, breaking the occupants neck, paralasysing (sp) them, if not killing them instantly. Yeah! Go get your patent now!!!

  • this is a great concept. get it patented before someone nicks it. definately see advantages for formula 1 or indy

  • cool

  • very nice stuft for future motorists ! Thank you for sharing .

    nutier

  • good concept but think it needs a bit of work, but don't stop. You might be onto something important.

  • Good point

    Thanks you~~;

  • What if it over-inflates and chokes you?

What if the impact and force breaks your neck?

    Etc/

  • OZ, the air collar should immediately deflate, just as regular air bags do.

If the impact or force breaks your neck, the collision was a non surviveable collision.

Or do you mean the air collar force?

  • Well I mean if the collision plunges you in certain directions and the airbags catches you around the neck, my theory is that the jerk from it all would break your neck.

    That's just my theory though.

  • interesting Concept

  • you should becarful to make sure that the airbag wont suffocat the passenger also you should account that the drivers size will never be big or small also. everyone is diffrent

  • I think that my idea is safer if the air bag is installed in the driver side (chest), and it is swollen with the steering wheel side.

If he or she gets on a backward seat, other those who multiply this think an initial collision to be safe.

  • yeah seems like a cool idea and this should reduce neck and spinal damage

  • I think its great...Anything to make cars Safer & Prevent Injury & Death,im all for any ideas

  • The belts for both legs will destroy your balls, if there is not a normal crash case like u see in the video

the rest is very nice, good idea

  • Thank Comments @oldschoolbimmers

  • great idea but a airbag belt would work better in this case because if there was a collision shorter people would probably end up with the bag in their face

  • Haha great idea! :D 5/5

  • It's a "JUMP to conclusions mat!"

  • If it was possible, it would be a good idea - but this looks more like a 3D graphics show, than a realistic ait-bag idea - sorry.

    Imagine the timing needed.

Imagine the strain on the neck, at that speed of expansion.

Imagine the permanent loss of hearing that would imply - a bad tradeoff, for a possibility of a broken collar bone.

  • Your responses are very grateful. "TheRealXesc"

General public is difficult as many ways to experiment with airbags, large of money and so on ^ ^:

If you help someone, everything OK but,,

The following is based on a video made in 3D, It will not damage ears and neck

Lots of airbag technology has evolved

In the video the right info Resources Section → →

  • @saturnwing I am not sure I understand your reply. I do agree that air-bag technology has evolved a lot, which is good, really good.

I saw the motorcycle jacket airbag video, it's a clever thing.

What is that thing at 0:10 in this video, going around the legs? How would that be deployed? At the required speed, what would happen to the legs that move? or not where expected? (Due to the impact, for example?)

What do the red bars mean in the graphics? Inflated? Solid material?

  • I can not speak English

Through the Google Translator to English. Sorry

    ~~

    Legs of the red bar

When airbags work inside the shoulder with a chair jumping, and airbags operate with a solid bar, grab your thigh is a device (the body's not moving at all this)

Above, below, this is definitely not moving

My thoughts at the beginning ~ ~ 3point silent ride wearing seat belts. Comes up automatically when the shock had thought Belt

3point belt around you do not, however, is too dangerous to ~

  • well the seat would have to be made out of something brittle so it could break open. witch would slice your neck... and your head would have to be straight and against the seat witch doesnt happen in a crash

  • Thank response, neck in a frontal impact is able to fine a matter of question," IT IS EASY"

    1. Airbags an L-shaped portion of the face, neck swollen on both sides of the bottom up

    2. Sprung up under the belt of the jaw, the position is to reinforce Cushioning.

  • Man, futuristic idea... But that thing is dangerous. It can crush your neck bones... And honestly, i don't think it's possible to build one. There's WAY to much things involved.

  • Cushioning under the chin and attaches to belt.

  • Hard to realize.

  • very interesting idea, thanks for sharing!

  • Looks like a good idea if it works and saves lives.

  • Awesome. Good Job.

  • awesome idea !

  • Hey good idea but if i want this in my car i need lot of money.I think its very expensive

  • Hey, that could work!!!...........

  • Good idea

  • good idea

  • Thank you~~

  • hey, that is an good idea!

  • good idea)))

  • if they could really hold you in in the event of a high speed crash, i think its a great idea!

but say you need the jaws of life to get out of your car or something, it would be very hard to undo your seatbelt.

    5/5 :)

  • Ford's idea of seatbelt-airbags are much better.

  • although ford has an idea it, i think mercedes said they will incorporate it in their s-class first.

  • good idea that could really save some lives

  • The deceleration for the person would be too big to cope with, with this design, I think. Seatbelts gives the passenger some space to decelerate at a rate where he/she would not faint.
