It's really crap for lesbians to be labeled tranny chasers because of these assumptions. I know who I am, and I know my preference is towards women but I fell in love and I realized I'm not just attracted to women.
I get the humor thing with trans guys calling themselves tranny's, but I don't agree with anybody using it about someone else. You never know how words can hurt people.
I like how you specified trannychaser as a sexual term, since that is the crux of the issue.
It's definitely a double-edge sword, since trans people use the term (or thought process) defensively, not wanting someone who "chases trannies," but at the same time it's in the best interest of a trans person to be with someone who loves their body.
