This movie paralleled my experience to moving to Hawaii as close as any movie ever really could. After highschool I decided to fulfill my dream, I left my pool skating and snowboarding lifestyle in CO for the big waves of the North Shore! Got in countless street fights with locals, I bounced off the reef, I rode all different boards and paid my dues, eventually being accepted at the heavy spots, hooked up with local girls, made friends, Aussi's gave advice to the new haole, "tha whole trip!"

This movie is one of the most underrated movies of the 80's. I remember this as a kid, it made me want to learn to surf. This movie never gets old, has a kick ass soundtrack, great stuff ! 10 stars !
