Recalls are more and more common as manufacturers out-source whatever they can to the lowest bidder, and liabilities become so entangled in the courts that they are eventually dropped, and irresponsible capitalism ventures on.
it seems kawasaki have no idea how many bikes have this issue. My 09 wasnt in the specified serial number range yet still had the issue. lucky service agent checked while getting serviced. hope my 10 doesnt suffer same problem
@sbeer6er i would hope so if that letter was dated dec. of last year... i picked mine up this july and haven't had issues yet... nothing noticeable in my garage of parking space at work...
Yeah I took my in, all was fine, or at least they told me it was. I reckon even if your bike does have a leak they fix it and then tell you it was fine anyway so you carry on thinking your bike was never infected!
Ahh its better to be safe than sorry man i got the 09 special edition model picked mine up for a nice 1000$ haha don't ask how and it only had little under 1000 miles on it. hope u got ur bike back man! take care.
That's a steal. Good work on the deal! I put my bike in last week and it was only in for one day. Dropped it off in the morning and picked up after work that same day. It wasn't one of the 'affected' bikes so I'm all sweet!
Do you always leave your bike out the front? I wouldn't do that, or get the GPS snitch device, if it gets stolen you can track the bike and pay a visit to the guys house for some justice.
Yeah bud you should definitely buy one. Buying mine is probably the best thing I've ever done in my life. It's so much funning zipping through traffic.
Take the oil pan off, drain it, weld the hole shut, throw it back on there, fill it with oil, haters gonna hate.

I moved so I wonder if I was supposed to get a notice regarding my EX250J ('08 49-state US carb'd model). Do you know if this is only for FI models?
CZroe 2 years ago
Hey bud. My bike isn't fuel injected, it has a carburetor. I dunno if it's specific to FI or carburetor models, I wouldn't think it would be.
