  • HELLO A NEED HELP PLEASE. I HAVE A MAC PRO, IT HAS INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 WITH OUT OSX. NOW I WNAT TO START WITH MAC BUT I CANT. I THING THAT ON DISK START IS SELECTED THE WINDOWS PARTITION. HOW CAN I DO TO FORZED TO START WITH OSX.

  • @415radioactiva When you install drivers it should start in mac osx by default, if not, when booting, keep pressing the options button (between cmd and ctrl, it says alt)

  • damn, he looks like a fish

  • Hey man. i did every thing you said and it worked but when i get onto windows xp the internet doesent work can you help me out.

  • Is it possible to run windows on a macbook without the need of the Windows Disc thing?

  • thanks, you really helped me out

  • why did u buy a mac if u wanna use windows7.... doesn't even make sense

  • @returnofthekingxd It is bott camp it you still have OSX you can use both.... no0b

  • @returnofthekingxd asthetics and software. duh

  • @returnofthekingxd sometimes you want to use some apps which are exclusive for windows.

  • I think the Google software you were looking for was MacFUSE

  • @LAfant619 You don't switch back to windows. It runs along side OSX, which also means you have 2 OSes on your Mac.

  • Whats the point of buying a mac for so much money if you switch back to windows?

  • I read that Boot Camp is not compatible with Windows XP or Vista...I'm guessing that was just not right?

  • I'm running Lion but I upgraded from Snow Leopard and therefore only have the Snow Leopard driver installation discs from when I bought the Mac. What do I do when Boot Camp asks for these during Windows installation?

  • My mac does not have boot camp assistant in it,

    What do I do?

  • Hello i don't know that much about computers and i was wanting to ask a simple question if i removed the partition that was for windows to increase the memory for it can i reinstall it without having to use a different product key.

  • I hate Apple though! APPLE SUCKS!

  • O.E.M stands for Original Equipment Manufacture, that means it has to be original bought from a well known business i.e. Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, etc. Don't buy it from Bubba down the street because it could be a clone that does'nt have the product code found on the bottom of the Windows 7 box. Bubba's download version may not work on your computer without the product code.

  • What is an O.E.M version?

  • @JaCkErS59 Original Electronic's Maninfacturer,

Means: bought directly from the ati factory, and not Eg' sapphire, XFX, colorware.

    Hope this helps you out.

  • I want to bootcamp my macbook so i can play games on it, but i have a couple of questions before i do it

    1. I watched your videos on how to bootcamp but u said i needed a mac disc? When i bought my new Macbook it didn't give me any disc

    2. Once i bootcamp into windows. Will i be able to switch back and forth to windows and Mac OS?

    3. Once i bootcamp into windows. Will i be able to take windows out and leave my whole hard drive to Mac OS again.

Thank very much and please reply fast

  • @thesomeguy21 1. It comes with the computer.

    2. Yes. when you start up your computer hold down the option key and you can swich between the 2.

    3. Yes through bootcamp.

  • @thesomeguy21 as far as your 1st question goes im not sure 2) you can switch back and forth by using the "option button" as your computer is starting up which will allow to pick which one you want to run 3) you can delete your windows if you choose not to want it and the added space goes back to your mac OS

  • @thesomeguy21 you hit the option key while booting and it will ask you and you can uninstall the windows partition.

  • @thesomeguy21 1. if you bought your mac new it should have come with two little packs of information called everything mac, and everything else. the cd's are in the everything else pack. if you don't have them, then you can just buy a new one from apple.

    2. no you have to reboot every time you want to switch between them. if you want to switch back and for then don't use boot camp, use a virtual machine like vmware or parallels.

    3. yes, its very simple, google "how to undo bootcamp"

  • @thesomeguy21 1. Not needed, bootcamp will ask you where to copy drivers, just copy them to a pen drive and when you boot to windows, open setup.exe on the pen drive and it'll install drivers

    2. You can with the startup manager (when you boot, press option button and keep it pressed (its the button between cmd and ctrl)

    3. Yes you can, although i don't know how to, but i know you can, just google it.

  • mine was different, instead it says downloading windows support software....instead of the partition thing you showed? Also i downloaded my version of windows so dont know really how this works..?

  • Why can't I use internet on Windows 7?

  • i wont crap my mac with "Boot Crap"

  • Hi,

can I loose any data from my mac during installing boot camp and W XP?? Im running with Lion (no CD released since Lion) so what kind of CD should I insert after installing XP?

    Thank you!

  • do i really have to put the mac discs in an the end...i kinda lost them... :/

  • devote***

  • how much memory should i devout my hardrive to Bootcamp in order to play a game that is about 27GB? can it be the minimum of 5GB or does it need to be equivalent or greater then the size of the game?

  • @sigurbarron at least the size of the game, duh. but you also need to make more room because you need to install windows which can take another 20GB and room to be able to save game content, 5GB.

  • @sigurbarron Make sure you have enough for the operating system and some more room to breath haha

  • people dislike this because he's black

    I don't

  • If I have like windows friendly keyboard and mouse do I still need to install ma drivers?

  • EXCELLENT JOB!

  • If I didn't give windows enough memory is there a way to add more??

  • @RunescapePkKing12

if you mean not enough space on a Boot Camp partition, use Paragon CampTune.

  • Why do you need this shitty Windows on your Macs? Games? What else?

  • @pleshrd

yes, just games, got to play skrim =)

  • @pleshrd I'm doing it for games, though a lot of people do it for windows programs like word or excel for business reasons.

  • @ChetZenor You can run all MS Office components natively on Mac OS. It's called Office:mac & available on the Mac App Store.

  • i just bought a macbook pro with lion. if i get windows 7, will it just start up with boot camp automatically?

  • When i have windows, but then use mac again, how do i get back to windows?

  • @deevold hold alt as your mac boots

  • @deevold When you go to turn on your computer hold down the option button, left hand or right hand bottom keys. It pops up letting you choose windows or mac.

  • I never received an install disk for OSX Lion when I bought my iMac. Can Bootcamp still be installed ok?

  • i have already downloaded windows to my imac, but i need more memory on my windows side, am i able to do that and how?

  • @harley21212121 are you running windows as a virtual machine

  • Thank you for putting this up here! Feel a lot more confident about going through this process.

  • Gracias, me funcionó perfectamente

  • Can you delete you windows thing later on and get your space on Mac back?

  • is it possible if i install my window 7 through portable hard disk ?

  • @ConverseFreaks101 Wondering the same thing... Can someone please respond?

  • @Procaines I am quite sure that windows 7 doesn't support external HD.

  • Aww xp or later? damnit i was hoping to put windows 2000 on it... ;)

  • wait can i do it with out the disc?

  • will the bootcamp be just as powerfull as the mac? will it still have my i7 4gb ram and stuff?

  • @TasteForDisaster Yes, seeing as how it's not a virtual machine but rather a full version of windows running, you don't need to worry about dividing resources, it uses all of the power you have access to.

  • @psicosis155 that's awesome!

  • I have a windows disk and everything and my mac is all updated but when i try to install boot camp it says i need drivers and everything please help!

  • can I change how many gigs it shold be on each drive after I´ve had it for a while? life if the memory is full on windows and I want more

  • @TheRickeMovies you should set how much you want at the beginning when it partitions for you. otherwise, I think now. unless you add another hard drive maybe.

  • sorry guys I like mac more!!!

  • @FanOfUlrich im sure someone has gotten back to you by now but if they havent. bootcamp sets up two secions in your hard drive. one where you mac operating system (os) runs your apple programs and one where your windows os runs. the benefit is now you can use your favorite window progams on your apple computer.

Bootcamp was running 250g mac-250g windows, and all of the sudden it freezed, my mac went black and i restarted. i lost 250gigs of memory and i cant find it back... please help!@@#@##@

  • @TheGhostlyjako

Don't fret too much. I'm not sure if you've already solved your problem or not but what you can do is:

Go into your Disc Utility Application (Utilities Folder)

    Select your hard drive

    Go into the Partitions Tab

    And sort it out there

  • @x0ptimus it doesnt work, the 250gigs is now the "startup disk" that cannot be removed, normally it was only 9 gigs but now its 259gigs, so my mac thinks the partition is the startup disk, i cant remove it...

  • @TheGhostlyjako formate your harddrive! but everything will get lost

  • you are my personal hero. I can't believe I can play lotro now! :'D

  • or not use the computer so i went through to it and it got installed but now it doesnt play the sound without headphones but when i start it up it still makes the mac startup sound up until it starts logging me in through windows and it doesnt give me an option to load mac or windows it just automatically does windows.... did i do something wrong??? D:>

  • i got windows 7 and installed it on the mac through boot camp but what happened was it went through to selecting the partitions and said it couldnt do it or something even on partition that said bootcamp so i clicked format and i think it wiped my mac half then it went through and started installing then it restarted went through the same thing but it didnt say bootcamp on the same partition i selected previously so i ignored it and kept installing cuz i had no choice... it was that or not use

  • i never knew why people buy mac can somebody tell me its overpriced

  • thanks mate! You really helped me out there ;)

  • 1:00

  • NICE! Thanks!

  • ergh that clipse beat is siiiiiiick

  • when you install win. 7 on a mac, are you still able to switch to an osx without uninstalling win 7???

  • @goodboysfollowrules cheers man there's plenty of piracy of somalia they would need to sort that out lol

  • i got windows 7 on torrent man what would be the best way to burn it so it will work

  • @kotobonachi If you got bootcamp on your computer, the installs it so it makes space for windows 7, and you buy windos 7 operative system. You can switch between mac os and windows 7 when you launch the mac.
