how i was taught to ride, u let go of the reins when u fall to be able to curl up in a ball but i do understand but in a school it doesn't matter if u let go of the reins coz there is no where for the horse to really go and it prevents u from hurting their mouths! :)))

@puckapony321 Sometimes you have no choice. My big horse threw me off the other week out hacking and I had of held on she would have stood on me no question about it. The only reason she missed me was because I curled up into a ball as I landed letting go of the reins. Thanks for you comment though.

@Dubin619 some horses arent capeable to go as high as others . you are just supposed to have a set of 2 or more jumps that get higher .so the first jump is the smallest and the second gets bigger and so on .

Dabyg was by far the best. You were really good. No refusals or knock downs but the fall was probally because the horses were fresh and not used to jumping on snow. I like your legwarmers too.

@RhonalovesJack Thats a bit rude, and in fairness if you don't learn to ride others you might not go well on them. but to really improve riding you should ride different horses dabyg, younger, older, bigger, smaller, bucks, rears, bolts. it will really really improve riding ability :) but if im honest. you looked fine on the grey, spesh as you don't normally ride him/her!

Beacuse the ground was quite hard as i found out when i fell off lol and it was safer to keep them small than risk hurting the horse.
