I still ride the same Trails in the Ely G P and I do not understand how he made it through there so fast.....HE IS AND ALLWAYS BE A LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! live forever DH1 much love. and what a lose of talent. I still to this day think he won more desert races in his sweet but somewhat short career. No rider to this day has won as many!!!!! I heard his Life ended in baja by crashing into some drunk locals were driving there car in reverse on the course?DH was doing over 120 when hehit thecar?
I was there for the Ely grand Prix. It is were I live. I was a teenager. and the race was a 28 mile cource 4 lap event. over some of the roughest and most trecheress terrain you ever seen in your life. then it went straight through central and east Ely. I remember he one every race till the event ended in 1995 I remember he would be the first one in the pits every time usually with a 10-15 minute lead over the next rider!!!!!!!! I remember the 94 grand prix he lapped Tye Davis twice!!!!!!!!!!RIP
This is a true legend of Desert and it put B.C. on the map as the spot to ride MRAN was never the same. Watchin him ride the DR 350 at age 12 was the beginning and his training regimin started in Jr. High when most of us were playing he was riding 3 hours a day these vids don't even begin to show the raw talent!!! You are really missed Diver
Thank you posting this. I was pitting for team green for the 500 when Danny was killed. We were the second pit and we're in an area that didn't have good reception with the rest of the course. we were expecting to see D.H. as our first pit. P. Krause came in first to our pit, I remember all of us tripping out, wondering where was D.H. We didn't find out what happened until after we got back to ensenada... A sad day... I will always remember you Danny, you ripped!!! Much Love and respect!!!
thank you for posting vidieos of Danny, he is missed very much. I knew him when I lived with my father in a house that he rented to us and he nwas such a good friend to everyone.
Your right about the trophy truck! He always told me that he wanted to drive a truck in Baja races & be like Jack Johnson. That was back when we were teenagers.
How the heck did you compile all this video?! Amazing job!
