being in a traditional woodframed / thatched

farmhouse, with a traditional Japanese

Hearth (irori), set deep in the mountains of

Japan, far from everywhere, with snow falling

Kiyomizu temple is a very nice place... Not very peaceful because its always busy. Kiyamachi Dori between Gojo and Shijo is one of my favorite short walks at night.

The many shrines in Takayama were wonderful to visit. Takayama in general was one of the most quiet and serene places Ive ever been. The walk out of Meji Shrine through the forest in Tokyo was great at dusk in the rain. That was very memorable.

A very wonderful video. Lake Biwa looks so calm and beautiful. Wish I could go out one day and sit by the ocean, enjoy the beauty and serenity of it all. This is certainly one of my favourite Hanafubuki videos. By the way, I went to see Kenji Mizoguchi's "Ugetsu" yesterday which is said to have been filmed in Lake Biwa. :)
