I did start on a 1000cc bike and it was a bit to much when i think about it... The best to start is a 600cc bike it has a lot of power and its lighter than most 1000cc bikes so its a bit easyer to ride.. but i will never realy NEVER take a 600cc bike after you had a 1000cc bike the power and torque are so fine to ride... I have now a Yamaha R1 but when i have the money i will go for the ZX10r It has much more carracter than the R1 but the R1 is better to drive and a bit boring..

haha... the commercial was a crash test thing for lexus. and I for one am going to start on a 250 and I only weigh like 130 lb so I think i will be just fine on a 250.

I dont get what that means?Your size means nothing. Im 5'6 135 and started on a zx6r and went to a supercharged 230whp zx10r in 4 years, still can only get 1 toe on the ground and im still looking fo just a bit more power.. yet i know many people twice my size i wouldint let ride a vespa. Any monkey can ride a bicycle or a superbike with basic experience, its when you use more throttle than you have experience for that gets you in trouble.

@WorldPeaceGaming you need to be very good to fully use a 1000cc my gsxr600 is plenty for the roads it will break every speed limit in 1st gear. city riding is boring on a 600 coz you rarely use 3rd gear and your doin the speed limit, zx10 wud be more boring the power is too much and would be a waste for just a road bike, 2nd gear doin 60kph with no revs is boring trust me get a 250 u will use all the gears and rev range great bike to learn on and get skills up. learner on zx10 = death

I dont know what youv been smoking, but I have alot more fun on my supercharged zx10 than on my neighbours 250 : / I will never ride another bike on the street under 1000cc. When i leave my driveway my goal is not to see how many gears I can use...

@WorldPeaceGaming also mate brand new these are around $20000 AUD if you crash it or drop it etc you would be so mad at yourself and be paying off a bike you no longer have, my cbr250rr was like $3000AUD and it beats most cars in races perfect learner bike I know the temptation is there for a 1000cc but they arn't practical for st riding. don't rush out and get one now take ya time build up to 1000cc you will enjoy it more and still be alive

Anyway, if i had to take a 1000cc i would take a Suzuki. But green is fantastic!

and the 1000cc bike looks completly different..

@GermanySupermoto actually the 2010 Zx6 and Zx10 do look very similar. However I would imagine the ZX10 on the official page is the 2011 model, which is rather different to the 2010 one

@SaraDupastara Hayabusa ??....lol..Have you ever seen a hayabusa on the track?, it looks like a tracktor compared to this bike + lap times is terrible. Hayabusa can only do one thing good,and thats going fast in a straight line. R1/R6 is more similar to this bike.
