Whats the horizontal lever the engineer keeps pulling? Also what is that little reciprocating piece infront of the engineer?

@slt223 the horizontal levet is the steam regulator of the throttle if you prefer.

@roaming2 i do believe butterfly doors are controled by air from the air compressors.

The fireman has a very good technique with the shovel. He feeds the hungry mouth of the boiler very good.
