  • Gay.

  • troop k what up!

  • OCKSUCKERS

  • He must've pulled over a Curb-side Mailbox for Speeding. lol,... no,.. seriously.

  • Were I am from in New York Chiefs have red lights, Firemen Have Blue, Ems Have Green.

  • that is dumm u would think thar firefire woul have red

  • Is that not a fire chief with red lights?

  • all emergency vehicles can have red lights, in ny, ambulances, fire trucks, police vehicles, and Important Fire personell's POVs can be all be red.

  • in NYS, volunteer fire dept. members can have blue lights. Ambulances, fire apparatus, police units, certain VAS vehicles cleared by the NYS DOH, and the POVs of fire chiefs only can have red and clear lights + siren. however, u will now see a lot of NYSP vehicles using blue to the rear, in addition to red and clear.

  • Laws differ from state to state..

  • @early1900s - It's a NY State Trooper

  • brian is gay :)

  • You wanted him to take a crap on the cop car?

    Be pretty nasty.

  • i didnt know that anyone still used halogen lightbars anymore. however,, in bright daylight, the halogen bar is the way to go as in direct sunlight, sometimes, led sets get washed out.

  • its still is the prettyest bar

  • Oh dont get me wrong, I love a good set of halogen rotators.. Esp in the daylight. Often I think they are more visible because led sets are often washed out by sunlight.

  • thats where u are wrong my friend, i have seen both halogens and LEDs and i say this just once leds are soo much brighter in driekt sunlight ;)

  • Well, I would certainly argue that with you. A halogen delivers a focused, directional beam of light while an led radiates more. I guess if your city spends a fortune on the newest generation of led's, you would have no problem. But, in my opinion and from my observations, a good set of halogens beats the average set of LED's. Have a good weekend.

  • For some reason it says that the video is no longer availible, but over here in england all the police cars have blue lights and sometimes on the highway you see 2 red lights on the back of the light bar but i have seen some pictures of police cars that have red and blue, i think the only time when they use the red lights are when they have stopped, i think its cool to see red lights aswell i was wondering if you think its cool to see blue lights.

  • the only blue lights allowed here are, in the rear of police vehicles and voulenteer fire brigade members.

  • As he said, In the UK it's the other way around. The only flashing red lights allowed to be shown is on the rear of police vehicles. Supposed to be used when stopped only. But I've seen cop cars blast past in pursuits or just rushing to a scene with them on.

  • @BigHeadSCCT i know that now fire trucks can have one blue light on the rear

  • @BigHeadSCCT and now all emergency vehicals have to have one blue light on the rear of the vehaicl well there soppost too anyways

  • Cool, I love NYSP cruisers. They're replacing the federal signal vistas for whelen edges now. They're also putting in brighter arrowsticks on the back windows. I think thsoe are whelens. Monroe county sherriff cars use either Code 3 MX's or those all red federal signal vistas.

  • They are getting the Whelen Liberty lightbars. Not the Edge. If Im correct, the Edge is strobe.

  • we have blue now. Have had them for a while not. this video must of been somewhat old?

  • yeah this is about 3 months old.

though i have seen some police/fire vehicles with blue in the front.

  • That's weird all red lights on a squad car. Here in Wisconsin we have blue/red lights...

  • yeah, most nearby states have that too. but in NY red/white and green is for emergency services. blue and yellow you should yeild to

  • The way it works in NY:

Red or combination of Red/Clear to the front is an authorized emergency vehicle = must yield to.

Blue or green lights to the front are personal vehicles of volunteer firefighters and medical personnel. You *should* yield to them.

  • Authorized emergency vehicles can typically display a combination of red/amber/clear to the rear. Within the recent years, the state has passed a new law that allows NY law enforcement agencies to add blue as a REAR warning color, because it has increased visibility attributes, especially at night, increasing roadside safety.

  • in massachusetts its the opposite. police lights are all blue on the front but in the back there can be red as well. most cops in my town have all blue but theres one cruiser that has a small red light.

  • cool down here on Long Island (NYSP TROOP L) you dont realy see them offen.Mostly becouse we use county, town,or village police. NYSP mostly just cover NYS highways.

  • Yeah the only reason they did this is because Town police had a major rollover accident on Rt. 9...so state police was in the area and responded to this

  • I used to live on Rt. 9 right down the road from the NYSP HQ and they flew by near the hill going to Round Lake all the time.
