You know when you mute your TV you still hear that tiny, faint, high-pitched ringing? It sounds so faint and quiet that its almost not even there; if you breath too loudly you can stifle it out. That's the delta waves, and if you hear them when a TV is on without volume, then they are still present. It has nothing to do with their 'interlaced nature,' its propaganda.

In my case if I want to produce a film and pitch it tomorrow to Paramount or whoever, say a film like Walk the Line (which struggled for years to find funding) or an intelligent dark comedy..

You know when you mute your TV you still hear that tiny, faint, high-pitched ringing? It sounds so faint and quiet that its almost not even there; if you breath too loudly you can stifle it out. That's the delta waves, and if you hear them when a TV is on without volume, then they are still present. It has nothing to do with their 'interlaced nature,' its propaganda.

In my case if I want to produce a film and pitch it tomorrow to Paramount or whoever, say a film like Walk the Line (which struggled for years to find funding) or an intelligent dark comedy..

I went opening night in vancouver, only 1/4 of the seat were full.I left wondering why, I thought the preview was good, I thought Natalie Portman's pretty good, WTF. When asking my family and friends they just had no inclination. People don't go to the movies to think, and its easier to hit or miss with silliness for some reason than with drama thusly on our end we are TRYING to make good films, america is not watching.
