Piper's most powerful skill is Molecular Inhibition - An advancement of Molecular Immbolization, She freezes the opponent COMPLETELY and since the molecules are packed without moving no heat is generated and they turn into ice (physics enters here) - Its more powerful than cyrokinesis and once a demon isn't strong enough to break free from mol. immobilization they turn to ice. While in ice they can die simply by shattering them, can kill even Elders and whitelighters.
While Piper's powers were most devastating of her sisters, Prue was the strongest witch. For example in Charmed Again Part 1, Piper explains that the reason why her and Prue were able to vanquish Shax without the Power of 3 in All Hell Breaks Loose was because Prue was the Strongest. And that if her and Phoebe tried vanquishing him after Prue died, it would have been suicide. If Prue alone used the Shax vanquishing spell, it woulda packed more of punch than if Piper Phoebe or Paige read it alone
If you watch, she actually splits the energy ball with her molecular combustion power (like splitting an ice cube with a hot saw) and redirects it with the same explosion. Then she knocks demon #3 into the energy ball! Awesome!
@lenzino7383 not really. prues power was the best. it covered all the bases. obviously two places at once. and then like if you need to hurt someone you don't always wanna kill them(piper combustion) or always have to run away(piper freeze) with prues telekinesis she could hurt someone without having to kill them however it hasnt been documented but if you had too you could assault someone to death with telekinesis with a couple strikes. covers the simplest offense/defense to the hardcore
Ohmigosh this is an awesome video! Id always loved piper's power but now I loving it even more! Plus holly does it so effortlessly. Missed charmed lots! I think deviation is darn cool. And where she cab specifically unfreeze some parts, even cooler :D
This is me personally, but I believe Piper to be stronger than Prue was. Here's why I believe this. Yes, Prue was extremely adept at her Telekinetic power; and there's always the argument that had she not died, she would have been extremely powerful (her power in Morality Bites shows that he could have developed the combustive side of power). @joshpheonix Actually telekenisis works like this: Prue projects her energy into someone or something and manipulates her energy inside of them, if the enemy's energy is stronger/more concentrated then her's she is unable to move them. Like large and dense objects or very powerful beings.
Okay help me I'm going insane. Everyone(Charmed Wiki, some people who make charmed next generation videos) think that one of Wyatt's special powers is Pyrokinesis, when no its Heat Combustion, and I can't tell Charmed Wiki the mistake, because I can't contact them any way(that I know of)...someone help!

Piper is by far the best witch, I loved little wyatt in action, I just used to get annoyed when ppl on the show said that piper froze time, thts impossible, if she did then when she froze nick the demon when the clock hit 12 there would have been 12 chimes not 5 and when they said she blew things up, I kno tht saying "piper speed his molecules up" was far fetched but it meant they focused on her power being more of a firey kind like a real explosion if tht makes sense, idk maybe im just ranting

Piper could also use Molecular Dispersal... When she makes the molecules just simply disappear, not explode. She first did it in the episode where Cole became an Avatar and made it so Paige never met Phoebe and Piper. Phoebe was evil, and Piper was an assassin... =/

i wouldn't mind having piper's powers at all. but without her power to blow up things, and just thinking of a quick spell would take long enough to come up with something and get herself killed. however it makes the job much easier for the charmed ones.
Her powers are molecule based so she was able to manipulate the molecules around the Avatar to telekinetically fling the Avatar back. Although in another episode she was able to create a ripple out of Lord Dysons Energy Ball causing him to stumble.

No, the writers were aware that the actress playing Prue was leaving so they had to slowly introduce the exploding power to prepare Piper as her eldest sister role.
If the actress playing Prue wasn't leaving then they would not have allowed Piper to have a power that was better than Prue's.
Piper is my favourite character simply because she acted like a human when Prue died.

And yeah Piper's power was way too overused. It took away some of the strategy side of Charmed...and Paige's power made it seem so easy too....Phoebe was just steadily useless power wise...
..but she got it when Prue was still alive, and Shannen wasn't fired from the show until after the season 3 finale was filmed, which was 3 episodes after Piper first gained this power.
However maybe it'd have been used much less if Prue didn't die, but her departure wasn't the reason for Piper gaining this lol.
Let me make this clear, the writers knew that Shannen wanted to be released from her contract sometime in the second part of season 3.
So they quickly anticipated that and gave Piper that exploding power. Trust me, the studio knew that Shannen wanted to leave earlier than the season 3 finale...
I know she wanted released from her contract, but they refused. In the end she was pink slipped. After Piper got her 'splosions. They knew at the end of season 3 that they had to fire either Shannen or Alyssa, and they didn't decide to go with Shannen until AFTER it was filmed.
Anyway from what I've read they only kept Alyssa because of her popularity. If she wasn't as popular I know she'd have gotten the boot, cause the writers did nothing but kiss Shannen's ass earlier in the show's run.

Yeah according to the interviews I've read/seen, Alyssa was kept because of her popularity. Though I didn't come into the Charmed scene until after Prue left so I have no clue how true that statement is lol.
I agree that it doesn't make much sense that Piper got the kick ass combustion power and Prue didn't. But we have no way of knowing that the writers didn't plan on giving Prue something even more powerful for season 4. That could have been their way around it lol.
Yeah it was kinda unbalanced afterwards, but so was Phoebe's. I think she only has 2-3 premonitions across the whole of season 8, and her levitation/empathy didn't come back at all. At least not until after the show's main timeline.

I honestly think Prue developed the molecular combustion power before Piper. Think about it - in "Primrose Empath", Prue combusted the microwave without even trying to. Yes, the microwave literally EXPLODED! She also used her telekinesis to explode the door in "Death Takes A Halliwell", while saving inspector Davidson from the vampire klan. If she could move objects, why wouldn't she be able to move or seperate molecules? No reason at all.
Well didn't they have to give each sister a secondary power? If Shannen would have stayed on the show, and they didn't give another power to Piper; it would've probably been unbalanced. Like Prue with two powers, Piper with one, and Phoebe with three. Piper still needed a power.
That secondary power theory conflicts with the Charmed theory that the eldest sister was the most powerful.
And we all know Piper's exploding power is far more powerful than Prue's telekinetic power even though she's the middle sister. So I have no idea what to think....therefore I'm still convinced Piper's secondary power was a last minute fix to prepare her for the eldest sister role
True, but theoretically each sister was the strongest in there own way. Phoebe - physically, Piper - mentally and Prue - toughness. Whatever, I just like to watch the show. Dissecting everything makes it complicated. All I know is Phoebe is my favorite.
When the Book of Shadows said "the eldest is the most powerful", it wasn't only implying the individual powers of the sisters, but also the strength of each sister's magic. Prue undoubtedly had the strongest magical essence of all them. It took only Prue and Piper to demolish Shax, whereas it took Piper, Phoebe AND Paige to demolish shax. That says something. Piper only got the exploding power as a gift from the elders. Her true, natural power is freezing - nothing else.
To be honest, they only really wanted Piper, Phoebe and Paige to come together as a three to defeat Shax because it needed to match Something Wicca this way comes which had 3 sisters together to show the Power of Three.
And Piper's exploding power was way more powerful or at least efficient in defeating evil than Prue's. They were like instant vanquishes. They were too overused but Piper was seen as the eldest so therefore they had to give her a power to match.
Regardless of if the producers used all three actresses to complement the first episode, we are speaking in context of the charmedverse.That It took all three sisters to do what Prue and Piper alone could accomplish basically suggests that these two women are the strongest, and the book of shadows, along with Piper herself and the creator of the show make it pretty obvious that Prue was/is the stronger of the two.
Piper's exploding power was definitely the most effective power. However my point was that when the Book of Shadows said the oldest sister is the strongest, it did not mean it in such a way where the oldest sister would have the undeniable, most destructive power. It was meant to decribe the strength of the sister's MAGICAL nature, or will. Being the oldest, Prue's magic was the strongest - her first spell worked like a charm, and her active powers grew the fastest.
Piper active power was only that strong because it was given to her by the elders. She wasn't born with it. Molecular combustion is not in the Book of Shadows, nor is it from Melinda Warren. It was simply GIVEN to Piper to protect her from harm. Clearly the elders felt she wasn't doing the freezing gig any justice. They gave her that power and could've easily took it away. "Morality Bites" showed that Piper's freezing would not have evolved into anything greater had the elders not interfered.
Morality Bites doesn't show astral projection as well. none of their secondary powers came from Melinda warren they just developed from the first.
All I'm saying that Piper's exploding power was given to her in time for her to live up to the eldest role once Prue had died.
To many many casual viewers, they saw Piper's exploding power more powerful than Prue's and so they saw the power hierarchy within the trio as unbalanced.. This turned out to be because the actress playing Prue was going.
Astral Projection was something that needed a purpose for being used. Prue first tapped into her astral power when she NEEDED to be in two places at once; "Ms. Hellfire", Piper wanted her and she was in an important meeting. Thus, her astral power was subconciously activated. It's unfair to say Prue didn't have astral projection in Morality Bites because there was no situation in the episode that actually called for astral power or its relevance. Prue only used it when facing powerful foes.
The secondary powers such as astral projection, empathy, etc, can be seen as development or GROWTH from the first Warren powers. In other words, they were not the exact Warren powers, but they at least came from it. Put it this way, Melinda Warren's powers were the roots, and astral projection/empathy were the branches. Power's explosion and Phoebe's levitation were totally different in that it had no connection to the first powers (root), but was simply given to them by an outside source.
Piper's exploding power was related to her freezing power, which was her first power. She first had the ability to slow down molecules and later gained the ability to (freezing) and later gained the ability to speed molecules up (exploding). Those two are related.
There is no coincidence with why Piper got a secondary power that was more advanced than Prue's. It's because Prue was going to die and Piper needed to take her role as the eldest sister with a power to match. Simple as that.
Her exploding power might've been related to her freezing power, but that does mean it resulted or branched from her freezing power. We are given the reason why Piper could speed molecules - the elders gave it to her. Simple as that. It didn't develop or grow from molecular immobilization. When I said "related" what I meant was "connected", meaning a power that is directly linked to the Charmed line, and can come about naturally without the aid of say the elders.
One can argue that Piper's exploding power was related to her freezing power - that is if you're speaking in terms of quantum physics, which pretty much relates a whole list of powers to Piper's freezing power. Note that I am speaking in the context of the CHARMED VERSE - this means that anything beyond that, such as writer comments, or cast replacements is irrelevant. Let'simagine that we're in the Manor and Charmed is real.
I agree with the latter segment of what you wrote. Piper's exploding power was fairly more powerful than Prue's telekinesis/astral projection. However, it goes without saying that Prue's powers grew rapidly, & had she survived to another season, there's no telling what they would've evolved into.

Maybe the ability to be physically in the premonitions? Which she did have eventually in season 7 when she met her daughter. Levitation seemed random and only came to her because she wanted an active power.
My point exactly. Her levitation power was given to her by the Genie. It wasn't apart of the charmed line nor did she have the appropiate powers required to develop it. However, since you mention levitation, Prue could also tap into this ability via her telekinesis. In NickClark89's video explanation for Prue's powers, Prue used her telekinesis to levitate herself in Primrose Empath & Wrestling with Demons. See what I mean about dynamics?
Yes I agree. Prue's telekinesis could even possibly expand to levitation like Phoebe as she could eventually lift herself. I used to laugh in the episode which had gremlins where Phoebe asked Prue to move her body over the fire. It made me think can't Prue levitate herself.
Prue could have telepathy in the future as she could possibly move her thoughts and read other people's thoughts as well as physical objects. She was quite a superwitch.
There are many flaws in the Charmed story and power hiearchy was one of them. For example, Paige's power was more valuable to the Source in season 4 and Zankou in season 7 than Phoebe's. Phoebe should've been the more powerful sister as she was older.
However, you could argue that her premonition power was growing in vividness and strength and she would end up to be the most powerful seer on earth.
Btw Phoebe's levitation power did not come from the genie. It wasn't openly said.
"Phoebe's power of premonition in theory "lifts" her into the premonition against her will; as she said to Prue in the season one episode "Love Hurts" "It's as though I'm being pulled against my will", therefore the natural advancement is that she can lift her body into the air by levitating. To tell you the truth that theory isn't concrete. It does make sense but it wasn't officially said on the show. It's fan speculation. Then again, the theory with Piper's freezing-exploding power connection isn't concrete yet makes sense.
So if you want to turn down that theory of the connection between Piper's freezing and exploding power then you might as well turn down the theory with Phoebe's levitation being connected with premonition.Same thing. (Plus those theories were BOTH on Wikipedia)
What was said on the show was that Phoebe found it nice to finally have an active power (levitation). They didn't ever explain that it was connected with the premonition power and the genie certainly didn't give Phoebe the power of levitation.

Yeah Prue's powers had many possibilities and if she were alive she could end up having molecular combustion and even freeze time herself as I'm sure her telekinesis could get so intricate to the stage it could be used to a molecular level.

That's true. This is why I can't help but laugh whenever someone says that PAIGE was more powerful than Prue. Prue took telekinesis to a completely different level - Paige hardly scratched the surface.
Prue's powers once advanced would've matched Paige's powers but since she left whilst her powers did not mature much her powers paled in comparison to Paige.
Paige's powers whilst slow and obvious (the orbs weren't discreet) had many uses, at the end she could heal her sisters and loved ones, she could escape to safety by orbing, she could sense her sisters, she could glamour, she could summon objects from afar, she could banish demons to Magic school, she could throw demons like Prue etc.
@gottajacket but maybe powers still advance in the Afterlife, If that's true, Prue's already mastered Advanced Telekinesis, having maybe Levitation or Agility and Speed, and of course a really strong Telekinesis that can work as a shockwave, or lifting very heavy objects, maybe reaching Molecular Desceleration like Piper's Ancestor, making buildings tremble like all the feats she displayed in Primrose Empath or even more.

Paige's powers were varied and she was an all rounder. Whilst Prue's would've been great and offensive but still powerful with the many related powers from telekinesis.
I do agree that Paige's telekinesis was really superficial. I was disappointed when I never even saw her telekinetically throw a demon until the 8th season. Most of the time she was calling objects to her hand and magically throwing it. Really basic telekinesis.
@gottajacket In the astral Projection maybe it advances to some kind of Cloning or keeping her powers while projecting and maybe projecting to other realms like the Underworld or to the Whitelighters. Paige most of her powers come from her Whitelighter side, without them shes actually a normal telekinetic witch. Prue had also Psicokinesis (Calling objects from afar) but Paige could reach objects that were in greater disance because she orbed them.

Piper's mix power is awesome!
If you watch, she actually splits the energy ball with her molecular combustion power (like splitting an ice cube with a hot saw) and redirects it with the same explosion. Then she knocks demon #3 into the energy ball! Awesome!

@lenzino7383 not really. prues power was the best. it covered all the bases. obviously two places at once. and then like if you need to hurt someone you don't always wanna kill them(piper combustion) or always have to run away(piper freeze) with prues telekinesis she could hurt someone without having to kill them however it hasnt been documented but if you had too you could assault someone to death with telekinesis with a couple strikes. covers the simplest offense/defense to the hardcore

This is me personally, but I believe Piper to be stronger than Prue was. Here's why I believe this. Yes, Prue was extremely adept at her Telekinetic power; and there's always the argument that had she not died, she would have been extremely powerful (her power in Morality Bites shows that he could have developed the combustive side of power). But my thing is, Piper came into her molecular combustion in season 4 and basically had 4 seasons to develop it (a little longer than Prue), but by the s

@aLbanianbaabe Yeah, I always thought it was peculiar that Prue was always referred to as the "strongest" yet Piper can freeze entire rooms of ppl and blow up baddies, killing them instantly, whereas the most Prue can do is knock them unconscious by flinging them into walls, unless she impales them with surrounding objects.

@joshpheonix Actually telekenisis works like this: Prue projects her energy into someone or something and manipulates her energy inside of them, if the enemy's energy is stronger/more concentrated then her's she is unable to move them. Like large and dense objects or very powerful beings.

Piper is by far the best witch, I loved little wyatt in action, I just used to get annoyed when ppl on the show said that piper froze time, thts impossible, if she did then when she froze nick the demon when the clock hit 12 there would have been 12 chimes not 5 and when they said she blew things up, I kno tht saying "piper speed his molecules up" was far fetched but it meant they focused on her power being more of a firey kind like a real explosion if tht makes sense, idk maybe im just ranting

Piper could also use Molecular Dispersal... When she makes the molecules just simply disappear, not explode. She first did it in the episode where Cole became an Avatar and made it so Paige never met Phoebe and Piper. Phoebe was evil, and Piper was an assassin... =/

Her powers are molecule based so she was able to manipulate the molecules around the Avatar to telekinetically fling the Avatar back. Although in another episode she was able to create a ripple out of Lord Dysons Energy Ball causing him to stumble.

No, the writers were aware that the actress playing Prue was leaving so they had to slowly introduce the exploding power to prepare Piper as her eldest sister role.
If the actress playing Prue wasn't leaving then they would not have allowed Piper to have a power that was better than Prue's.

Unlike a certain other sister who didn't have a care in a world as long as her demon boyfriend was with her...
And yeah Piper's power was way too overused. It took away some of the strategy side of Charmed...and Paige's power made it seem so easy too....Phoebe was just steadily useless power wise...

However maybe it'd have been used much less if Prue didn't die, but her departure wasn't the reason for Piper gaining this lol.

Let me make this clear, the writers knew that Shannen wanted to be released from her contract sometime in the second part of season 3.
So they quickly anticipated that and gave Piper that exploding power. Trust me, the studio knew that Shannen wanted to leave earlier than the season 3 finale...

I know she wanted released from her contract, but they refused. In the end she was pink slipped. After Piper got her 'splosions. They knew at the end of season 3 that they had to fire either Shannen or Alyssa, and they didn't decide to go with Shannen until AFTER it was filmed.
Anyway from what I've read they only kept Alyssa because of her popularity. If she wasn't as popular I know she'd have gotten the boot, cause the writers did nothing but kiss Shannen's ass earlier in the show's run.

Yeah according to the interviews I've read/seen, Alyssa was kept because of her popularity. Though I didn't come into the Charmed scene until after Prue left so I have no clue how true that statement is lol.
I agree that it doesn't make much sense that Piper got the kick ass combustion power and Prue didn't. But we have no way of knowing that the writers didn't plan on giving Prue something even more powerful for season 4. That could have been their way around it lol.

Yeah it was kinda unbalanced afterwards, but so was Phoebe's. I think she only has 2-3 premonitions across the whole of season 8, and her levitation/empathy didn't come back at all. At least not until after the show's main timeline.
Personally I prefer Rose cause she was much more light hearted than Shannen, plus she pulls awesome facial expressions XD

I honestly think Prue developed the molecular combustion power before Piper. Think about it - in "Primrose Empath", Prue combusted the microwave without even trying to. Yes, the microwave literally EXPLODED! She also used her telekinesis to explode the door in "Death Takes A Halliwell", while saving inspector Davidson from the vampire klan. If she could move objects, why wouldn't she be able to move or seperate molecules? No reason at all.

Well didn't they have to give each sister a secondary power? If Shannen would have stayed on the show, and they didn't give another power to Piper; it would've probably been unbalanced. Like Prue with two powers, Piper with one, and Phoebe with three. Piper still needed a power.

That secondary power theory conflicts with the Charmed theory that the eldest sister was the most powerful.
And we all know Piper's exploding power is far more powerful than Prue's telekinetic power even though she's the middle sister. So I have no idea what to think....therefore I'm still convinced Piper's secondary power was a last minute fix to prepare her for the eldest sister role

When the Book of Shadows said "the eldest is the most powerful", it wasn't only implying the individual powers of the sisters, but also the strength of each sister's magic. Prue undoubtedly had the strongest magical essence of all them. It took only Prue and Piper to demolish Shax, whereas it took Piper, Phoebe AND Paige to demolish shax. That says something. Piper only got the exploding power as a gift from the elders. Her true, natural power is freezing - nothing else.

To be honest, they only really wanted Piper, Phoebe and Paige to come together as a three to defeat Shax because it needed to match Something Wicca this way comes which had 3 sisters together to show the Power of Three.
And Piper's exploding power was way more powerful or at least efficient in defeating evil than Prue's. They were like instant vanquishes. They were too overused but Piper was seen as the eldest so therefore they had to give her a power to match.

Regardless of if the producers used all three actresses to complement the first episode, we are speaking in context of the charmedverse.That It took all three sisters to do what Prue and Piper alone could accomplish basically suggests that these two women are the strongest, and the book of shadows, along with Piper herself and the creator of the show make it pretty obvious that Prue was/is the stronger of the two.

Piper's exploding power was definitely the most effective power. However my point was that when the Book of Shadows said the oldest sister is the strongest, it did not mean it in such a way where the oldest sister would have the undeniable, most destructive power. It was meant to decribe the strength of the sister's MAGICAL nature, or will. Being the oldest, Prue's magic was the strongest - her first spell worked like a charm, and her active powers grew the fastest.

Piper active power was only that strong because it was given to her by the elders. She wasn't born with it. Molecular combustion is not in the Book of Shadows, nor is it from Melinda Warren. It was simply GIVEN to Piper to protect her from harm. Clearly the elders felt she wasn't doing the freezing gig any justice. They gave her that power and could've easily took it away. "Morality Bites" showed that Piper's freezing would not have evolved into anything greater had the elders not interfered.

Morality Bites doesn't show astral projection as well. none of their secondary powers came from Melinda warren they just developed from the first.
All I'm saying that Piper's exploding power was given to her in time for her to live up to the eldest role once Prue had died.
To many many casual viewers, they saw Piper's exploding power more powerful than Prue's and so they saw the power hierarchy within the trio as unbalanced.. This turned out to be because the actress playing Prue was going.

Astral Projection was something that needed a purpose for being used. Prue first tapped into her astral power when she NEEDED to be in two places at once; "Ms. Hellfire", Piper wanted her and she was in an important meeting. Thus, her astral power was subconciously activated. It's unfair to say Prue didn't have astral projection in Morality Bites because there was no situation in the episode that actually called for astral power or its relevance. Prue only used it when facing powerful foes.

The secondary powers such as astral projection, empathy, etc, can be seen as development or GROWTH from the first Warren powers. In other words, they were not the exact Warren powers, but they at least came from it. Put it this way, Melinda Warren's powers were the roots, and astral projection/empathy were the branches. Power's explosion and Phoebe's levitation were totally different in that it had no connection to the first powers (root), but was simply given to them by an outside source.

Piper's exploding power was related to her freezing power, which was her first power. She first had the ability to slow down molecules and later gained the ability to (freezing) and later gained the ability to speed molecules up (exploding). Those two are related.
There is no coincidence with why Piper got a secondary power that was more advanced than Prue's. It's because Prue was going to die and Piper needed to take her role as the eldest sister with a power to match. Simple as that.

We are given the reason why Piper could speed molecules - the elders gave it to her. Simple as that. It didn't develop or grow from molecular immobilization. When I said "related" what I meant was "connected", meaning a power that is directly linked to the Charmed line, and can come about naturally without the aid of say the elders.

Maybe the ability to be physically in the premonitions? Which she did have eventually in season 7 when she met her daughter. Levitation seemed random and only came to her because she wanted an active power.

My point exactly. Her levitation power was given to her by the Genie. It wasn't apart of the charmed line nor did she have the appropiate powers required to develop it. However, since you mention levitation, Prue could also tap into this ability via her telekinesis. In NickClark89's video explanation for Prue's powers, Prue used her telekinesis to levitate herself in Primrose Empath & Wrestling with Demons. See what I mean about dynamics?

Yes I agree. Prue's telekinesis could even possibly expand to levitation like Phoebe as she could eventually lift herself. I used to laugh in the episode which had gremlins where Phoebe asked Prue to move her body over the fire. It made me think can't Prue levitate herself.
Prue could have telepathy in the future as she could possibly move her thoughts and read other people's thoughts as well as physical objects. She was quite a superwitch.

There are many flaws in the Charmed story and power hiearchy was one of them. For example, Paige's power was more valuable to the Source in season 4 and Zankou in season 7 than Phoebe's. Phoebe should've been the more powerful sister as she was older.
However, you could argue that her premonition power was growing in vividness and strength and she would end up to be the most powerful seer on earth.
Btw Phoebe's levitation power did not come from the genie. It wasn't openly said.

To tell you the truth that theory isn't concrete. It does make sense but it wasn't officially said on the show. It's fan speculation. Then again, the theory with Piper's freezing-exploding power connection isn't concrete yet makes sense.
So if you want to turn down that theory of the connection between Piper's freezing and exploding power then you might as well turn down the theory with Phoebe's levitation being connected with premonition.Same thing. (Plus those theories were BOTH on Wikipedia)

What was said on the show was that Phoebe found it nice to finally have an active power (levitation). They didn't ever explain that it was connected with the premonition power and the genie certainly didn't give Phoebe the power of levitation.

@gottajacket This puzzling development has led some fans to speculate on the origin of this new active power. One theory is that Phoebe's power of levitation developed from her martial arts skills, especially since the first time she inadvertently activated it Phoebe was trying to do a roundhouse kick and the second time she activated it she was doing a back flip, which as a result became magically amped.

@gottajacket Another is that somehow, by her wishing on a genie, Phoebe accidentally changed the course of development for her powers. This is supported, in fanon, by the fact that she gained the power to levitate in the episode right after the one where she (briefly) gained the power to fly.

@gottajacket A third explanation is that since her power of premonition makes progress to lifting her from the physical plane, her power allowed her to defy gravity as a way to free her temporarily from the hold of the ground.

In episodes like "Ms Hellfire" and "Death Takes a Halliwell" Prue's powers reached extraordinary heights. She temporarily froze gun bullets and hurled them back at real bulletspeed in "Ms hellfire." In Primrose Empath and DTAH, she used her telekinesis to explode the microwave and the door; that was arguably a semi form of molecular combustion and immobilization via telekinesis. Though Piper's explosion power was much more effective, it was Prue's powers that proved the most dynamic.

Yeah Prue's powers had many possibilities and if she were alive she could end up having molecular combustion and even freeze time herself as I'm sure her telekinesis could get so intricate to the stage it could be used to a molecular level.
Just at the time in season 3, Piper's exploding power was miles ahead of Prue's mainly 'throwing and lifting demons' telekinesis power.

That's true. This is why I can't help but laugh whenever someone says that PAIGE was more powerful than Prue. Prue took telekinesis to a completely different level - Paige hardly scratched the surface.

Prue's powers once advanced would've matched Paige's powers but since she left whilst her powers did not mature much her powers paled in comparison to Paige.
Paige's powers whilst slow and obvious (the orbs weren't discreet) had many uses, at the end she could heal her sisters and loved ones, she could escape to safety by orbing, she could sense her sisters, she could glamour, she could summon objects from afar, she could banish demons to Magic school, she could throw demons like Prue etc.

@gottajacket but maybe powers still advance in the Afterlife, If that's true, Prue's already mastered Advanced Telekinesis, having maybe Levitation or Agility and Speed, and of course a really strong Telekinesis that can work as a shockwave, or lifting very heavy objects, maybe reaching Molecular Desceleration like Piper's Ancestor, making buildings tremble like all the feats she displayed in Primrose Empath or even more.

Paige's powers were varied and she was an all rounder. Whilst Prue's would've been great and offensive but still powerful with the many related powers from telekinesis.
I do agree that Paige's telekinesis was really superficial. I was disappointed when I never even saw her telekinetically throw a demon until the 8th season. Most of the time she was calling objects to her hand and magically throwing it. Really basic telekinesis.

@gottajacket In the astral Projection maybe it advances to some kind of Cloning or keeping her powers while projecting and maybe projecting to other realms like the Underworld or to the Whitelighters. Paige most of her powers come from her Whitelighter side, without them shes actually a normal telekinetic witch. Prue had also Psicokinesis (Calling objects from afar) but Paige could reach objects that were in greater disance because she orbed them.

prue may even been able to create a clear force-field
but that's all a person with telekinesis can do making prue
powerful(truly),But paige power is a combination of the orbing
and telekinesis (rare),She orbed an innocent back to the manor
by saying, "Home!". Also, in season 8 episode, she orbed
a demon to Magic School by saying "Magic School!",Occasionally
paige can orb some to her with out saying it,Paige say prue CHINA
and she in china LOL

@gottajacket If the elders were to give Piper the explosion power in the beginning of season 4, wouldn't it be too obvious, that Piper got a new power bcos she is now the eldest sister..

Pero el poder de piper era acelerar las moléulas, no crear fuego ni que los demonios de nivel superior recibiecen quemaduras como le ocurrió a Christy en el brazo. Si Piper usó ese poder tuvo que haberle hecho añicos todo el brazo.
Luego los vampiros eran inmunes a los poderes de las brujas y solo decir que los poderes estaban muy currados de 1 a 4 temporada, despues... y la desintegración de Piper en la 3 y 4 temporada eran los mejores.
