Best Weapon: depends on your play style.

Best Sidearm: Co2 handgun or a small submachine gun like an MP5k

Sites in the U.S.?: hell yea there are. lots of them down in Cali sign up to airsoft pacific if you live in Washington or Oregon for local games.

Do airsoft guns hurt?: a little bit, its like getting pinched really hard for one second then you will be fine.

@locotwix You can still see through a red-dot sight like that with the cover shut, as long as you have both eyes open. I forget the name of the effect, but basically your brain takes the image of the red dot against black, from one eye, and the image of the world from the other, and overlays them, so you see the red dot in the centre of your vision, without risking the lens being shot out.

Either that or the battery is flat...

@chumpstanator Red dot is still projected onto the lens just like normal.

With both eyes open, one eye sees the dot against a black background, the other eye sees the terrain. Your brain then does this cleaver thing of overlaying the two images, so you get a red dot in the centre of your vision, whilst still having the scope cover closed.
