Not saying he's not a good guitarist, but it's hard to believe that is so, when on some songs, he only uses one string, leaving the other 7 untouched. Kinda pointless to get an 8 string guitar when you only use one string. Just use a down-tuned baritone 6. It's the same scale, and that way, you're only wasting 5 strings instead of 7.
